You can maybe wait for when the Elantris sequels will be released? I do like his earlier work more and I have bounced off of Skyward, so I am also more cautious but I am still excited to read books from him. l will most definitely never read from John Scalzi again nor from Cory Doctorow. Their books really irritated or bored me. 😐 V.E. Schwab's premises really do make me want to read her books, but I never satisfied with the stories, so I also stay clear off them.

Thank you for your sacrifice and for taking the time to show me (us but mainly me tbh) all your books AND how generous of you to give Quill two whole shelves tbh YES I'm watching YES I remember Open Road Summer and I reread it a few years ago! Those Becky Chambers hardcovers are STUNNING, and so is Amina. I won't be mad if you don't read Fire and Thorns, just disappointed

I'm interested in a lot of these books. I loved The very secret Society of Irregular Witches.

it was so hard for me to follow! between all of the different magic terms, places, names, rules, wing/section/quadrants, my head was spinning. thanks for the recap!

as per our earlier chat, I've definitely given up on Tahereh Mafi, and I'm also getting more and more hesitant on Leigh Bardugo because I just haven't enjoyed her books and I think Shadow and Bone is just nostalgia for me at this point maybe?

Immediately added A History of Burning to my list of books to read. I definitely want to read Her Majesty's Royal Coven. Parasite sounds like my kind of book too ☺

I most prioritised my TBR and continuing series. It's only gone down a little bit, but not enough. I pre-order whenever I want to and if I'm really excited to start something, I just do it.

I’ve just finished cataloging my entire collection and it turns out that I have read about 24% of my collection; which is not all that surprising. I tend to donate a lot every couple of months or give books to friends. My house would actually collapse if I tried to keep every book. Like you I also don’t unhaul unless I have tried them so every couple of months I pull a stack of books that I am not sure about and read the first chapter/ read reviews and then possibly ungaul

The Devil and the Dark Water sounds like it’s gonna be great. Historical horror? Yes please! You can definitely get through these 25 next year. I don’t even know what I’m reading in the next 12 hours so I have absolutely no clue what I want to prioritize in 2025 😂

It does sound good! I'm just a bit worried because people haven't loved it as much as Evelyn Hardcastle, but maybe the historical part puts them off. I'll probably forget all about this video in the new year haha
