For all the people in this comment section that are extremely young and are looking at total knee replacement, there is another natural better option worth trying first. It is called knee joint distraction. If you are below 65 years of age and are looking for a total knee replacement, than chances are you will need revision surgery from which the results are way way worse end the life span is way shorter. After that you have amputation or fusion of the knee joint, which is ofcourse not a great option. Knee joint distraction will regrow the cartilage in your knee and you will be able to use it again for anywhere between 5 and 15 years if the surgery is succesful. There are patient stories with patient being able to walk 10km again after knee joint distraction. If it doesn't work you can still try total knee replacement. I would combine it with APS injection and SVF injection for better results, but be warned there is no research on this, except for an animal study on rabbits. Good luck!

I am 17 and having a full knee replacement in about 3/4 weeks now I have extreme oestoarthritis and total lack of cartalige I have worn down a cm of bone at the knee joint and a total knee was the only way forward

all i can say. IT'S much more advanced. at 25 my recovery in hospital then 2008 was 5 days. said 15 to 20 years will need again, but also might need AGAIN... my kids Nana got hers recently, in her 60s , Sent home same evening. 2023 times changing tech also. My quality of life was AWFUL ravished by RA LIKE ya kinda need to walk out excruciating pain, constant fluid taps 120cc off my knee, shots, steriods.. wish on nobody. BUT after , yeah scar, run, can get almost 85% range can't sit with all weight like feet touching body .... Ive even had tapped after surgery, still gets swollen, gets pain , but NOTHING like before. Advice, FIND RIGHT ORTHO for whatever your issues and if there's bone on bone, keep going until a dr agrees. So Much tech now, probably not total new tkr. maybe some "revising" , adjusting, needed now but I'm knowing it's time for that 2nd round. The pain days coming around more and you automatically favor limb that doesn't hurt so much, before was like i was in a cast bc for years i didn't bare weight. So DON'T BE AFRAID, GO FOR IT, SO CHANGE YOUR LIFE, ANY DOCTOR WHO SEES YOUR SUFFERING AND WON'T DO IT, find a younger one who is more familiar with new tech stuff, respectfully to all medical... i know experience blah blah but many are dated, and stuck in ways thinking under 55 is "not ideal"......well ... maybe not but maybe... many practicing older surgeons but don't accept THEIR reason to not do it, find someone who will refer it be done atleast. bull.......i had my left TKR 2007 i was not yet 25 so this is NOT TRUE I AM YOUNGEST in my county hospital to have it done though.... needing revision though being young used it up quicker than someone older. THANK GOODNESS for the female Dr who recommended it. 7 male doctors didn't care I suffered. I was told to "use a cane " at 19.......

I'm 19 years of age and been an ss has had a huge limitations on me due to the fact i always fall ill every month from age 1-14 and after that age 14- 18 i do fall ill every 3 months and its always severe i've had a surgery were my blood was taken out and a new blood was deposited in me but it didn't help.
