Great tips! The time and patience aspect of growing a beard is really big I started to try and grow out my facial hair 4 years ago and in those 4 years and in that 4 years it has gotten noticeably thicker particularly in my checks and moustache where they bit weaker than my chin which has been very thick . Patches have started to fill in as well. Right now I rock a shorter style beard trimming weekly I hope to experiment with medium and long beard styles at some point in my life

Alex, I have to work on the sleep,stress and water. Two other things that I believe contribute to a thicker beard is letting your neck beard hair grow if you are growing a longer beard and wearing darker colored shirts when possible especially with a white beard. Thank for a great video will be joining your channel,Cheers👍🏼
@missionbeardyt Жыл бұрын
Me too - good on the water front, but sleep and stress are an area I need to tackle. Sadly probably the trickiest things to work on. 😂 That’s an interesting point! If you grow it out and wear a black shirt, do you find that it shows thin spots more easily though? When I’m cutting mine I hold a kitchen towel behind it (basically the opposite of your process) so I can see where it’s thin and could do with a trim to make the overall beard look thicker. Thanks for subscribing. Saw you pop up on Instagram too - really appreciate that! 😃

Looks great. Awesome job 👍🏻I’ve had 4 big trims over the past 5 years and I’ve hated every one. I find when they trim the flyaways it creates more flyaways. I only trim myself now. If you invest in pro barber shop blunting clippers (about£150) it’s easy to do. I only trim the very bottom to try and get a more uniform length. Once everything is long from the centre of my ears down the flyaways aren’t a problem anymore 👍🏻

I was in Innsbruck a few months ago - what a beautiful country man! I’ve heard of Mr Bear Family before - was it Forest Fire or something similar they run? Either way, this is my excuse to double back and check them out. Which Seven Potions scent do you prefer? I’ve run out of our shampoo (launching soon) so I’m using their Woodland Harmony one right now)
@grauspaule Жыл бұрын
@@missionbeardyt Yeah austria is a beautigul country...very underrated in the eye of the world i think Yeah, i prefer "woodland" from mr bear family, its really good quality when it comes to carrier oils and scent. The beard shampoo is a daily mild wash with a ph level of 5...really good The company is very supportiv and friendly Golden beards is the same way, high quality, unique scents and great customer support I'm not really into the scents of seven potions oils but i really liked the conditioner as i used it I prefer natural scents, i'm absolutely not into the cologne like oils...its just to much to put it on the face and smell it the whole day I also like to use grave before shave, honest amish, hey joe from spain and some of the live bearded products

Welcome back 👍🏻 Was gutted when Beardbrand stopped shopping over here. I loved their tea tree line. I’ll be ordering some Mission Beard bits soon, but I’ve mainly been using coconut oil recently. I’m growing out my head hair, so wanted to use some on that so use it in the beard as well.
@missionbeardyt Жыл бұрын
Thank you brother! Likewise - Tree Ranger was my go-to from them as well. First beard conditioner I ever tried - game changer. How are you getting on with coconut oil? I have very sensitive skin under my beard and it gets dry quickly, so I find I need a blend of carrier oils. Beyond that, the choice is mostly about scent for me

@missionbeardyt Жыл бұрын
Funnily enough, I’m actually not a huge fan of cologne scents! The Tom Ford fragrance is actually pretty gentle. Is the Acqua di Parma one the same? Other cologne based oils I’ve tried in the past have always been a little overpowering. To be fair though, those were copycat fragrances.

I haven't tried any of the oils in this video. One company I recommend is "The Bright Collection", it's a UK company with a solid blend. I also recommend the "star gazer" beard oil from Grzzly Beard Oil. It's a more complex blend using carriers I haven't seen anywhere else. By the way I saw you on the Beard Brand channel getting your hair and beard trimmed. I enjoyed it.
@missionbeardyt Жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for commenting! Glad you enjoyed the BeardBrand vid too - was an awesome experience. I can’t find the Star Gazer oil - maybe it’s out of stock. I’ll keep checking! Any others you’d recommend? If you haven’t tried any of those oils and are looking for a new one, I’d definitely recommend the Captain Fawcett one. Aside from our own products, it’s easily one of my favourites.
@phritza Жыл бұрын
The Star Gazer oil is hidden in their menu on the top left, you click and expand the beard oil options and you will see it. It's weird that it doesn't appear when you view all their oils at once.
