Do the math, Sherlock. The Trojan War lasted 10 years, it took Odysseus 10 years to get back home. If Telemachus was younger than 20 years old there is no way he could be the son of Odysseus. If you're gonna compare the movie to the book....might be a good idea to READ the fuckin book. As for Odysseus being a coward, If you got into a fistfight in the parking lot of Wallmart that lasted for 10 years, the last thing you'd want is get into another fistfight on the way home. BTW, The Odyssey is as old as the Bible. How many stories in that book make absolute fucking sense? Grow a brain
@thereviewshow24002 күн бұрын
I didn’t compare the book. I brought it up by asking questions about it. I didn’t say he was younger the book, was asking if that was the case because that’s how I remember it after being so long ago since read it. So before you get all flipped out that doesn’t change my thoughts on the movie because the movie was nothing but a slog uninteresting protagonist that doesn’t do anything until the end when the movie decided that it needed him to do something. That’s my biggest problem about the movie. Not some persons age.

I could not adequately express how thoroughly I disagree with your take. To say the characters’ motivations didn’t make sense, to call Odysseus a coward or Penelope stupid, I wonder both how much life experience you personally have, how much media you’ve ever critically consumed, and especially whether we even watched the same film.
@thereviewshow24007 күн бұрын
Probably didn’t watch the same film because I heavily agree with the IMDB’s full score of this movie being a 6.4. That hits for this movie pretty well for me. It’s cool if you like it that’s your opinion but I wonder that to believe you can’t handle someone else having a different opinion. At least have some respect for other people instead of whatever this was lol.

Some (not all) of the details that "was wrong" is stated in the book due to the use of frog dna to complete the strings (for example the breeding and the rex eyesight and in the book other problems as well). That does not come through in the movie unfortunately. Other things they kept in for the coolness, i believe the raptor size is one of those things. The real velociraptor was as big as a chicken, but the cousin Deinonychus was that big. But Spielberg liked the name raptor better so they kept it. The Rex in the end came in through the not finished wall that is actually visible in the beginning f the movie when they arrive to the center.

Honestly, I thought this movie was pretty good. Was there room for improvement? Well yeah, of course. And it was dedicated to James Earl Jones - and that's a pretty big thing to live up too. And while there were a few things that would have made the movie better, I still enjoyed watching it, and I consider it to be a good enough prequel story to the Lion King franchise. I've always wanted to see the story of Mufasa and Scar, and how brothers practically became mortal enemies. And while I would have prefered traditional 2D animation for this movie, I'll admit that the facial features were an improvement than the typical blank expressions from the other Disney live action remakes when it comes to animals. And having a pride of white lions was a good idea, because they were beautiful to watch. Also, most of the songs were pretty catchy; my favorite probably being the one with Mufasa and Sarabi. How Mufasa was portrayed as flawed but still grew to become brave, kind, and smart...that I really enjoyed. And how Mufasa made all the animals find their courage and practically formed their new way of life...also really good. Plus, to see how Pride Rock was formed, how Taka became known as Scar, how they met Sarabi, Zazu, and Rafiki - to me it was a beautiful story. And it's actually quite tragic, because we know the fate that awaits this one of a kind lion who wasn't born to be king...but was destined to become one. That being said, there were some things I didn't like. For starters, I was really annoyed whenever Timon and Pumbaa practically interrupted the story with their comments - if anything they should have enjoyed the story just as much as Kiara did - they may not have been in the story, but I believe that's what made it better. There was also Kiro's song...which I thought was pretty terrible. Kiros was a pretty intimidating character, and so, his song should have been more menacing - heck, Scar's song in the live action version was actually better than Kiro's. We should have seen the Outsiders kill (or at least viciously attack) Mufasa and Taka's clan. We saw Eshe bond with Mufasa, but it would have been nice to see Obasi bond with Mufasa too before his departure. It would have been good to see just how many days have passed as Mufasa and his new clan journey to Milele - I feel like that would have helped the chemistry buildup between Mufasa and Sarabi. I also would have prefered that after reuniting with his mother, Mufasa took the rest of the day to mourn the death of his father - and the very next day, roars over Pride Rock - symbolising the sun rising with him as the new king. I still think this was a good movie. And it definitely deserves more attention and recognition.

The 2019 live action was terrible in my view, it was really boring and pointless. This one might look impressive with the cgi, but no one asked for a prequel to a movie that majority of fans hated.

I agree the only going for it was an “original story” but didn’t work. Makes the 2019 one look like a masterpiece. Which makes sense I guess because it copied a masterpiece.

A more r rated film would be closer to the tone of Crichton’s novel. Which is much darker and more horror than Spielberg’s adaption. Although I do think the horror elements of the film are done very well.
