I saw the Theme Park Tour at Great America in Gurnee, IL that summer- fantastic experience. Changed my life and I went into the “business” myself for 30yrs. Praire is a criminally underrated drummer. Man o man that massive purple Yamaha kit blew my 16yr old mind. Long live the mighty TUBES GROUP!!!!⚡️

A friend(Edwin Heaven) knew this group and got me ticket to one of their shows. He said they “broke up” because their lead singer (Fay Wrey) wanted to go to Los Angeles to become an actor. Lots of luck with that one.

The drug budget for that tour must have been astronomical

August 1983, Tubes opened for Peter Gabriel and David Bowie on the Serious Moonlight tour in a 60,000 person outdoor concert at Commonwealth Stadium. Listening to the Tubes I thought, ‘HOw is it going to get better then this?’

Seen The Tubes twice,absolutely fin awesome,also was in Alice Coopers restaurant & Bar Cooperstown once and Fee was on the next table with his lady friend so went overcabd had a chat they were so friendly,wish modern mobiles were out then could have had some great photos,oh well got the memories,these guys wirk so hard on stage,👏👏👍🇬🇧
