Oh just probably needed to turn the clarifier a bit. These radios drift a bit it is just the nature of them

Beautiful radio. I have one that a tech broke the volume on and can't find the part. I recently bought a replacement off Ebay. I also have the Cobra 146 and 148. The 146 is the same as the 122. If you ever want to sell yours let me know. Outstanding radios.

Ya they are good little radios same chassis as the trc 465 and trc 453 i know where someone has a 465 and a 453 for sale as well but i cant buy them all lol

In fact i do have my license and it is boring, i would way rather be on the children's band then listen to old bill and bobs health problems or be told what and when and how i can talk on a stupid net. Regarding the last digit of the display, it looks like you have the 1 MHz step engaged. The little green light on the right hand side of the display indicates a 1 MHz step. Try pushing the 1 MHz button under the AF/SQL knob to see if it makes a difference.

Yes I wondered that but for whatever reason that one megahertz step will not turn off the green light stays lit even when I push the button

I have 3 s9 nitro's 2 still nib and 2 s6 nitro's 1 nib. Greatest radios ever in my opinion. Never will sell them. Have a friend that has a few in his closet too. 😂

When I bought mine the update had been done it was a common problem with the kenwoods effects frequency display there is a shit ton of vids on screwtube on how to deal with it. Good luck mine turned out fine.
