You have a beautiful voice for this. So easy to listen to. I've been trying to find information, Aveline, she was 10 years old and passed at 14. It's horrible there is pretty much nothing on KZbin about her or her mother, who was apparently a very kind woman, i started off looking up Avebury and ended up here. There's nothing. You absolutely have the voice for this. It would be lovely as a fireside stories from history 🙂💞 from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 🐨 👍.

I lived in Tewkesbury as a kid, and was there in 1971 when they celebrated the 500th anniversary of the battle. Of course we learned all about it in school, and it turned out that Margaret's camp was only a few hundred metres from the school, so me and a few friends thought it would be cool to go there and see if we could find any traces of blood! Unsurprisingly, we didn't, so that was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless the history and the connection to it remained, so I'm still watching stuff like this 54 years later.

Although the children and descendants of John of gaunt and Katharine Swinford were legitimized, I believe that they were still forbidden from being in line of succession. Thus, Henry Tudor had to take the crown by right of conquest and not by right of descent.

I have always found the "lamentations" statement suspicious. People, then and now, tend to care mostly about what is happening at that moment -- not what could have been. I doubt that the average person cared about Edward of Westminster and Richard of Shrewsbury; what they most likely cared about was what was Richard III doing. The lads were of little or no consequence to them.

Dear Matt, once again please accept my sincere admirations for the current brilliant work! I'd like to attract your attention to one more proof Richard III was not a sinister killer of ANY of his nephews. His brother George also left a son who had no less rights for the royal accession than the Princes in the Tower. After killing his own brother Edward treated cruelly George' son, and it was Richard who freed the boy. Let us take in mind that Richard had his own son, who died young - I think he was killed , and the same killers murdered Richard ' s wife and Queen Ann! The official version for Tuberculosis as the a cause of death might be true , but this is a very contageous disease, and the bacteria or virus could be easily imposted to the food or drinks of Richard's son and wife ! All these tragedies make George's son a more real danger to king Richard regarding the succession, at least as a future possibility George's son to apply for the throne. It is true that Edward deprived George's kids of rights because of the fake treason of their father , but it could easily get mended if Geore's son could find strong mentors, as for instance could be Margaret York Dutchess of Burgundy , his aunt! If Richard was a merciless children-killer WHY HE NEVER KILLED OR INPRISONED AT LEAST HIS BROTHER GEORCHES KIDS?!? Both George and his children were 100% legitimate! It was the Tudor-Adams family who tortured and killed those real legitimate Yorks and Plantagenets - e.i. legitimate to be king or queen of England !
