I remember when this first came out. And couldn't get the track here in the US until 1987 on Substance.. My English friend had a cassette tape with it on it. By then my buddies and I had learned to play it.

Here some presets that a use for BLUE MONDAY: TAL-U-No (for intro riff and main bass) Arturia Solina V (for outro riff) Nanotron 2 for "Kraftwerk-Radioactivity" sample (sounds like male choir after guitar) Oberheim SEM V ( for deep bass intro) drums - try to search DMX percussion samples for orchestral violin in the beginning i used DSK Overture Hope it helps! 😉

Great version of the song. I bought this same Akai keyboard and tried to get it to work for months and gave up. I had it plugged into my computer and used it through Apple garage band. You must be using something else. This sounds way better than mine.

I use FL Studio, but you can use Ableton Live. The sound depends directly on the presets you use (most of the time I use the Arturia library). Don't give up, buddy, you can do it!🙂

Well done, but you cannot easily add a loop with the infamous erroneous drifting step-loop pattern that has one 4th or one 8th note too few/many...! (I always forget the details of this classical sequencer mistake in Blue Monday)

This is a MIDI keyboard, it does not produce sounds, it's not a synthesizer, it's more like a “special keyboard”, for sound you need a program like Ableton Live or FL Studio. The new model of this keyboard can already reproduce sounds, but it’s better to google it (akai mpk mini mk3)

Nice, very close. Akia is awesome. So much power in the computer based stuff. Back in the day I used a Roland R-5, an MC500 and a D-50. Ten years ago I used a Native Instruments Maschine Grove Station. So much easier to sequence these days.
