Bullshit when the eye line is high and the low line is out of sight. Always is a possibilty to hit .

Good demonstration on the basics of wing Chung. Nice flow. I tell another of people, Got to keep practicing until you can do it without thinking. Think about mixed martial arts as a tool box. You have every tool for any situation. Hence the word "master mechanic"

Nice!! I learned this through Joe Lewis when I was an instructor for Tracy's back in the day. Done well it can hit someone like a deer in the headlights. I also use a similar technique with a step for the cross. We called it Independant motion.

Bruce Lee said FMA is good for fighting, good for show and good for nothing. This fellow talks about switching grips in a fight, tournament or for real. Anyone who has ever fought FC will tell you. You never never switch sticks. Its too shaky.This is good for show at best

In Jkd Hooks are thrown with a vertical fist, right straight lead left cross jab are thrown with a vertical fist, horizontal and diagonal fists are use for the body
@1WolfMartialArts3 жыл бұрын
Right. But not exclusively. In standard boxing, these punches are common. Sijo Bruce Lee exposure to punching was mainly Wing Chun, which uses vertical fist orientation. Technically my presentation would be ping choy instead of chung choy. You can do either because a punch is just a punch and a kick is just a kick.

Thanks for watching and the comment. Boxing is a fundamental system of training and techniques from which Jeet Kune Do was created. So they are JKD punches.

@@randysiordia nop, jkd was created from wing chun not boxing
@randysiordia3 жыл бұрын
@@roddromahmud3984 you are very mistaken. It comes from 3 arts primarily. Wing Chun, boxing and fencing. Other systems also contributed to the grappling components of JKD.
@XxStratAttackxX3 жыл бұрын
@@randysiordia randy you are mistaken. Overhead punches, the jab, etc... are boxing strikes that contradict the fundamentals of JKD. The jab is replaced by the straight lead in jkd. Fist must ALWAYS be vertical with the one exception of the dropping punch to the body. arms must not leave the box. There are no telegraphed strikes in jkd. The principal is my hand goes straight to the target. Vertical fist delivers force THROUGH the opponent. Horizontal fist can make your punch wing the guy instead of going through him because of the structure of your elbow. Vertical fist also guards your torso by keeping your elbows inside. It is much harder to bob and weave someone that strikes vertically.
@randysiordia3 жыл бұрын
@@XxStratAttackxX thanks for the feedback. JKD is comprised of Wing Chun, Boxing and fencing. Yes, there is a vertical punch (chung choy) but that’s not a basic punch. It’s advanced and I have shown that in newer videos. What is funny is people who comment have no videos of their own. Sitting in their chairs at the keyboard pointing out that the person doing is wrong. You’re entitled to your opinion but you need to do more research and not regurgitate the cookie cutter look of Bruce Lee did this and said that. This is my JKD and is proven in the ring and on the street for 30 years.
