Can I just tell you you need to go buy baby oatmeal? You can’t give them regular oatmeal out of the cupboard. They can’t digest it. You need to get the baby oatmeal as baby. Take the rack out of your brain. Common sense

Memories. When my daughter was a toddler all she needed was a spoon, a pan, and a pile of dirt that she would dig in for hours❤😊.

FYI... you really should change the chicken wire for something meant to keep predators out. Chicken wite is meant to keep chickens in, but not for keeping predators out. For an affordable option, you can get hardware cloth (not really sure if that's the name) and put some latches to secure it...raccoons and minks are tenacious little creatures. Hope that helps you to keep your chicks safe! Good luck😊

Fwiw a rat or weasel likely may not have any problem getting past that chicken wire. They can get into some tight spaces. Good luck.
