After two failures with the Flames (now at Calgary) & the Thrashers (now the Winnipeg Jets). Atlanta won't be an excellent city for hockey 🏒.

Well, Ed Snider and the Flyers certainly had an impact on my life. Born in 69 in South Jersey. Been a life long Flyers fan ever since! The emblem tattood on my chest! Played the game for 30 years! I bleed orange and black. One of my best memories seared into my mind is the bus ride to 1st grade and everyone singing...."We are the Champions..again!" That and..."The Flyers win the Stanley Cup, The Flyers win the Stanley Cup...." Blasting in our TV and every TV in the neighborhood! Been a lot of heartaches since but...I'll always love my Flyers! Let's go Flyers!!!!

I grow up watching my calgary flames i was still to young to realize the flames came from altanta till my grandma told me I was surprised back then the canadain teams were just as strong as alot the American teams were and had just as good of a chance to win that beautiful trophy the Stanley cup this was b4 that jerk anti canadain commissioner Gary ( a canadain team will never win another Stanley cup after '93 canadains have as long as im commissioner) butthead and he's proven it he has done what ever he can do to make sure no canadain team win r Stanley cup or even approve more canadain teams to join the NHL and as long as he's commissioner we won't see another canadain join the NHL why do u think vegas and settle joined and the Arizona coyotes moved to Utah when 1 of them could have moved to Quebec its cuz of buttmen he's makes every excuse possible to make sure canada doesn't get another NHL team he reminds me of a bloody politician has more excuses the a used cars salesman or a greedy bank he's an arrogant narcissistic power hungry a$$ hole 😒😠😤😡🤬!!!! B4 he came along canadain NHL teams were doing good to great hell I could do without the anti bullshit doesn't anybody realize why the NBA fired him its cuz he was power hungry very manipulative jerk and unfortunately the NHL board of idiots hired him when they could have done with better choices!!!

Since then, MN moved to Dallas, and won The Stanley Cup. LA 🏆 45 years later, Pittsburgh won 2 of them 25 years later, and one or 2 more in the mid 2000's, Philadelphia won 2 Cups back to back, St. Louis won the Cup on 2019, and Oakland moved to Cleveland, and the folded. The Islanders went on to win 4 straight Cups.😅

I wonder how long this documentary would be if it included the rules for each wave of expansion. What did the new franchise pay for the team? What did the existing teams have to give up via expansion draft? Who was protects and which players were left exposed?

Love this documentary but for one thing. How is it that the Minnesota North Stars merit one minute of coverage and only on Bill Masterton's death?! Yes, Philadelphia's story is fascinating. But did you even try to speak with any people from Minnesota, one of the constant major crucibles of American hockey? There are some great stories there. Too bad. The lack of North Stars coverage is a massive gap in an otherwise excellent video.

It’s amazing how dumb we were back then with divisional alignments in each major sports league. We were either dumber or just didn’t care at all.

That 1991 season was off the charts! Signing Ismail to the biggest contract in FOOTBALL HISTORY at the time made the Argos the hot ticket that summer and fall. And with John Candy working his tail off to promote the team, they made the CFL cool to watch. It's a shame that they've never been able to achieve that level of success in the 30+ years since.

I saw an interview with Bruce McNall, the majority owner of the Argonauts. He said the reason he signed the Rocket for 18 million for four years was that he had called his friend Al Davis, owner of the Raiders and asked him if after two years would he sign the Rocket and pay the remainder of the four year deal.Davis jumped at the idea. Other than that I have to say that John Candy was a brilliant talent and a great human being, RIP, John.

When Ismail left for the NFL, he was only making a third of what he made with the Argos. Also, the reason they let him get out early of his contract was because the McNall empire was crumbling and the Rocket's high-priced deal was killing them financially. Plus, he was showing up late for practice, not doing interviews as promised, etc.. In other words, they told him you either go to the NFL or we'll sue you for breach of contract.

My dad used to get lower bowl playoff tickets from one of his business clients and would take me to some of these games. As a 12/13 year old, these times were some of the greatest of my life. I've never been in a place louder or more exciting! Miss the old Chicago Stadium.

Don Cherry brainwashed the people of Canada to hate other countries! Cherry claiming do not draft USA born Auston Matthews! Don Cherry loves Ryan Reaves claiming he is the MVP In the NHL! Cherry clips video this lunatic Cherry said that Matthews missing the net so many times! Matthews have higher shooting average than Connor McDavid! Matthews have scored 54 goals in 63 games! In 1980s NHL 8 goals per! Today NHL only 6 goals per game! If Matthews have played In 1982 he would had scored over 100 goals easily beating Gretzky's 92 goal record! Ovechkin ERA only 5,3-6 goals per game! Ovechkin had played high scoring 1980s he would had scored over 1000 goals easily! Canada have 650000 hockey players! USA have 500000 hockey players! Ovechkin's Russia under 100000 hockey players! USA and Canada should have 11 players who have scored over 800 goals like Ovechkin!!
