Very cool advice! Definitely feeling that sense of urgency to post daily, and it's honestly a little nerve racking. Like I want to make good quality content, but maybe this is really a numbers game? and maybe it's not up to me to decide what's "good" quality, anyway? Since what people end up liking is so arbitrary sometimes??? I tried a long scripted and super carefully thought out video recently, and like you were kind of mentioning, something felt off while I was making it and I just had to stop. In listening to my own voice over and over and stumbling to try and make myself sound a certain way, it really became a little bit of an identity crisis lol - I'd never micro-analyzed myself so much before. The challenges are so different than I thought they would be!

I am in the same boat. Been posting on and off since 2018. (not on this channel) Struggle with keeping consistent around my day job and health. I started the video diaries this year. Just picking up the camera when I wake up and go to bed. (also not consistent) I don't like any of those videos. Filmed a lot of stuff that I never shared because I don't like it.

I think a lot of it is about quantity rather than quality. I have a rambling unscripted not great quality channel but I post a lot (too much) and I got monetised in a year. I don't know what the magic formula is. Posting more consistently will help. Don't forget though that posting a lot won't make you a lot of money. You certainly won't make an hourly wage out of it!

I suggest to make your audio better. It sounds like weird compression is going on.

Thanks for this advice! I’m working on a faceless KZbin channel right now but still trying to figure out how to talk - I started off just by rambling and editing the rambling audio - but then I tried scripting. My scripted video did pretty good, but not as well as I hoped. I’m trying a scripted one for my next video but the scripting process like you said is taking SOOOOO LONG compared to my rambling videos that I edited and put out so much quicker. Trying to figure out my “voice” as a KZbinr, like am I a “casual” KZbinr that just talks all chill and doesn’t care? Or am I a detail oriented educational KZbinr with specific points I want to make with each video? I’m not sure yet. Next thing I’ll try like you mentioned, is just writing some notes down and talking based on those… I’m gonna check out creator hooks!

When i hit 1K subscribers, I will un-unlist the first video on this channel, the 1-hour songwriting challenge that the wife filmed 😊

There is no system. She uploads tons of videos hoping one of them sticks and gets a lot of views. She is not someone anyone should be trying to emulate. You will burn yourself out from uploading video after video after video.

"Forcing function" is a really good term / concept! definitely made me rethink my approach

She posts over and over again because she’s desperate for views so she can get money (She is a fraud who owes hundreds of people money) and I guarantee she won’t get any better she just does the same repetitive clickbait videos and people are catching on to what she’s doing and what she’s selling and views are going down.
