Thank you for this, Mark. I'm looking forward to part two. I miss our friend, and it's good to hear his voice.

My mom had Epstein Barr almost as long as Ellison said he had it. In her case, she got hit with a case of hepatitis just after WWII, during the Russian occupation (just before Germany was divided up among the victors). In Ellison’s case, he had pneumonia that put him into a brief coma (according to a piece about writing “Pretty Maggie Moneyeyes”). Both persons had their immune system severely compromised, which would have left them open to Epstein Barr. And…both people, whenever _I_ saw them in person, seemed quite energetic; but I heard both of them tell me of long hours of lassitude and lack of energy, lying prone, unable to get up and about. (incidentally - NOT discounting JMS’s tale about Harlan saying he invented the diagnosis of Epstein Barr (because he couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, but - it wouldn’t be out of the question for Ellison to ave suffered from Epstein Barr while actually being bi-polar; likewise, things like ADHD can be a comorbidity of someone with bi-polar disorder; after all, there was no doubt he lived with OCD; and both ADHD and/ or bipolar disorder would make for some energetic moments, even whil living with Epstein Barr. My mom had the latter two nomenclature disorders, and thoughtfully passed her DNA onto me, so I speak and write from experience).

Really surprised he had chronic fatigue his whole life as he’d appeared to have a lot of energy.
@amanalone3473Ай бұрын
Chronic fatigue is a bit of a paradox. You feel completely exhausted most of the time, and end up feeling you need to put in more work to appear productive. Which only fuels the exhaustion even more.

Wow! You are pretty much 2 rows back from FOH position. Nice! I don't like the sound of the L-Acoustic system, sorry. And it's so in your face. Nice recording tough, thanks for that!

From the UK album Sweet Fanny Adams, by The Sweet. Just found this, awesome cover. But then again it’s Joan Jett, so it’s going to be awesome.

The QUEEN OF ROCK n ROLL IS SUZI QUATRO!!! Suzi was the hottest leather clad Rocker!! Suzi smashed through the 'glass ceilng' at the height of Women's Liberation. Suzi cleared the pathway for Joan Jett and all the other girls. If you ask any female Rocker who their heroine is they'll tell you that SUZI QUATRO is the reason they play an instrument. In 1972 /73 Suzi released her debut album called CAN THE CAN. It is one of the most complete Rock albums ever made. 1974 saw Suzi release QUATRO which is another massively influential Rock album that inspired thousands of girls around the world to pick up a Guitar or Bass or Drumsticks and form a Rock band. Joan Jett and Lita Ford heard these albums and formed The Runaways. Anne and Nancy Wilson formed HEART in Canada - Barracuda and Magic Man. SUZI QUATRO IS THE GLYCERINE QUEEN OF ROCK. Suzi is a Radio Host and Author and awesome Human.
