Outstanding and much-needed teaching. Thanks! It’s difficult for me to say how terrible the bondage was personally as an unsaved man when I started reading the Bible a couple years ago due to the misinterpretation of this book. I got ensnared by two reformed churches that taught me nothing encouraging about this particular sermon and how it is to be applied. I thought I had to uphold the standard which Christ was laying out or else I’d be going to hell! I can’t help but wonder how common this might be, but surely there are many others who don’t know how to rightly divide the word and are thus highly confused and, worst of all, perhaps unsaved and feeling hopeless as a result. Makes me very sad.

Brahma is God. He is the only Guru. He comes on earth as Taraka Brahma when there is too much sin and it is difficult for virtuous people to live on this earth. When dharma declines and adharma, or sin, gets the upper hand; when the virtuous and the pious are tortured and the dishonest and evil-doers tyrannize over the good; in a word, when the human intellect is guided along degraded and destructive channels; Táraka Brahma forms a desire to come on earth with a specific mission of restoring dharma by launching a ceaseless fight against all injustice and sin. There are a few notable criteria by which to distinguish Táraka Brahma from other mahápuruśas: He Himself is a born guru and has no spiritual guru. He comes with a specific mission, which is to restore morality and dharma. The entire society becomes divided between moralists and immoralists. A fight between them is inevitable, and ultimately dharma comes out victorious. His emergence means a new era of white peace and dharma. He needs no sádhaná, but just to set an example to others, He performs sádhaná with the masses. The first Taraka Brahma is Shiva (about 7000 years ago) and the second Taraka Brahma is Krishna (about 3500 years ago)

@CalvinGoodloe-qh3ww You can clearly read James 2:8-13 and read that James is speaking to the 10 commandments. Research the "royal law" and confirm for yourself. We have transgressed the law, the 10 commandments; we have not trangressed the law of animal sacrifice. I am not arguing that we do not have remission of sins. I need remission of sins because I have broken the law. The wages of sin is death (Rom 3:23), for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 6:23). I have a penalty for sin: death and hell. Christ perfectly and obediently fulfilled the law on my behalf because I cannot in my sinful state. If I tell a lie, I not only broke the 9th commandment, but I have broken all the commandments (Jam 2:10). I need Christ's forgiveness of sins and His righteousness to be reconciled to a holy Father. When I placed my faith in Christ's finished work, God cleansed me from all unrighteousness and justified me as righteous through His Sons's precious blood that was shed for me: a breaker of the law.

Thanks so much Pastor John. All this confusion is really bad. It's so difficult to help church goers who have been basically brainwashed by poor theology understand the simplicity of the gospel. But then I bconsider hiw the Lord delivered me from so much false doctrine including Lordship Salvation. And I know that He can deliver anyone else. I'm so so grateful to you and the other pastor teachers who rightly divide the word of God! May the Lord empower yiu all to continue ministering to the body of Christ and to those who need salvation by God's grace alone through faith in Christ Jesus and His finished work on the cross alone. So then verse 27 has no application to the believers Paul is speaking to, since they are not preachers? He isn't saying that he "disciplines his body and brings it into subjection" so that he can preach, but so that he won't be disqualified. A genuine believer, one chosen by God (see Eph 1:4), will never lose their salvation because those whom God has given to Christ cannot be lost (Jn 6:39) or snatched out of God's hand (Jn 10:28). However, many who believe themselves to be Christians will go to hell (see Matt 7:21-23). Yes, we are saved by faith, but saving faith is the gift of God (Heb 12:2; Phil 1:29; Eph 2:8-9, etc.). There are many Christians whose belief is not genuine faith (e.g. James 2:14, 20; 1 Cor 15:2). This false (or "dead") faith is evident through a lack of fruit (see John 15:6), or a lack of perseverance (1 Jn 2:19). I'm not suggesting that anyone just try harder to do good works. Our works are filthy rags (Is 64:6), and we are called to repent from our own dead works (Heb 6:1, NKJV). Rather, put your faith in the working of God (Col 2:12), whose grace causes us to turn away from sin (Rom 6:14). If you are trusting in God but don't see fruit in your life, ask Him to produce the fruit of His Spirit in your life (Gal 5:22-25), so that you may have assurance that your faith is indeed saving faith from God, and not from yourself.
