I see you used a ground pod with a gimble in the bird hide, how does it compare with a beanbag only, in the hide?
@SiegsSafari11 ай бұрын
I began with the bean bags but I couldn’t get enough height over the lip of the hide so I decided to use the gimbal with ground pod to get that extra height . Honestly it was revolutionary for me with such steady shots and ease of use . I don’t think I can go back

@@SiegsSafari thank you. I have considered getting a ground pod to use with my gimbal for sometime now but did not know if was worth it.

It's so good to see these, where I grew up there was a superstition by the locals that these beauties attracted lightning so they were killed whenever they were seen .
@SiegsSafari11 ай бұрын
That’s actually really sad . They seem to have a rather healthy population in the Kruger

Great review Sieg! We just love Biyamiti, having almost exclusive access to the S139 is worth the price of admission and to me makes Biyamiti a real bargain. Add in first and last access to the Biyamiti Weir not to mention that stunning lookout over the Biyamiti River makes it priceless. The camp is so beautiful and secluded it makes me feel like we’re in some super expensive private reserve and not SANParks lodging…..second only to Talamati as our favorite regular camp. The Wilderness Trail camps take top spot for me but they are really an experience and not a camp. Looking forward to more reviews soon 👍

Thanks Joe much appreciated. Yeah I do agree with you for all those reasons it’s worth the heavier cost . It really does feel like a different kind of lodging with the larger secluded bungalows . Will be planning on doing a wilderness trail within 2024 so hopefully will get some good footage for a review

I'm loving these reviews Sieg! Satara is one of our favorites; not for the camp but for those three drives you mention although we usually stay at Talamati or Oliphants which lets us hit Satara for lunch. Really hope you do a video on every camp in The Kruger and maybe even give the Wilderness Trails a go as well.
@SiegsSafari Жыл бұрын
Ideally I would like to do every camp in Kruger but currently out of SA so just piecing together the camps I do have videos about . Also have been thinking about doing a wilderness trail for the longest time now so will have to give it a go when I’m back home

@@SiegsSafari They really are a great experience so I hope you get to enjoy one. Our favorite is the Wolhuter Trail out of Berg-en Dal because it's got an amazing right in front of the camp huts where some very relaxed elephants come to visit daily.
