Great tip. I'm about to do the same exact thing with my Ridgid saw. Evidently Ridgid no longer makes replacement caster assemblies for this saw. So much for the lifetime warranty, right?

Better idea and effect rather than the grinder wheel is one of those purple high abrasive wheels for removing rust, ironically… You get a more even splotchy rusting with it and no worries about grinding through anything… And don’t take any chances breathing those fumes, it burns your lungs lining and it won’t repair itself! On that you only have one chance to get it right (unless you like severe shortness of breath for the rest of your life)

Just ordered this cold air intake. Can't wait to install it! Next up for me will be wheels & tires. The truck needs a more broad stance. I don't like the wheels being tucked back behind the fenders. Might go with 20s. I'm not sure about the tires. Looking for performance & aesthetics.

I used vinegar and HALF table spoon of SALT. Let sit for 3 hrs Slightly rinse with water Spray with ACID and Peroxide...(spray bottle) Wait 1 Hour Spray Acid and Peroxide again. Next morning it will look 50 years old 1 week it will look 100 years old This worked for me.

Make sure the holes in the bottom racks are facing out in case you want to screw in the side shelves permanently. I learned after fully assembling this now I have to take it all apart 😂

The padded seat is loose intentionally. It’s so you can use it as a pad to kneel on if needed. It’s marketed that way as well.

I've since replaced the head with a spiral cutting head. If I remember correctly you just push them down.

Not sure. It may have something to do with what coatings were applied to the metal. But there is black rust also.

Good stuff. Great video. I have a significantly large gabled project about to start and was going to age the metal in place. But now I see you have some great effects with your method. Only achievable with the panels laying flat. The concentration of rust in the valleys adds a very authentic look. Thank you for taking the time to post your video.

No need to grind it. Just spray the muriatic acid on it and leave it

Thanks, for me removing the galvanized coating before applying the acid, provides a better result.

@@EveryOtherDayWoodWor .... more than likely it does get a better result however it's not worth the risk. Breathing in galvanized dust is toxic. Not worth grinding. It has zinc and shouldn't be grinding on it or burning it
