This is useful, but I have a question: Are doing this from the browser link entry to a Teams meeting, or inside the Teams app? I am trying this with the Microsoft 365 Home Teams app now and I tried setting up my own meeting and then joining from a web browser, and I don't get the chevron option for portrait view. What I get is just "None", "Blur" or a range of pre-selected backgrounds. This is on October 29, 2024, so perhaps things have changed since you did this. Or, always possible, I have done something wrong....

Hi Full Stack - Thanks for tuning in. I tend to get my pix from sites like UnSplash (free) to paid sites like Adobe Stock, or Getty Images over the years. If you have an Adobe Creative Cloud account, I'd check out the Adobe Express site and you'll be amazed at what comes with your subscription...

Wow, Amazing video. Although it really russian dolls my brain when i try and think this workflow through... You did a great job explaining. I just need to watch this like 3 times and take notes... Which i did. I made a Mind map of all of this.. Your awesome... Any advice or vids on being able to put zoom guests in preset template spots on obs... So if we have 3 players on an Streamed role playing game, i would love to have cool templates and be able to put each guest in a necessary spot...... i am guessing it is just multiple zoom captures and cropping as needed but also thining that would be a huge headache and kind of handcuffed with current zoom views. if that makes sense. cheers.. first video of yours i watched.. will check the others... soo sooo soo helpful..

Hey there, that's an interesting challenge, and one that I may over my skis on, but I'd say that you MIGHT want to check out something like Streamyard.com (an online production suite) where you all can stream your feeds into...and then do one stream out. In that case, if everyone had an OBS virtual camera, you can port that at 1080P right into the mix with your audio. Give that a look see...

Hey there. Thanks for tuning in. That's a great way to go as well and was my earliest solution. A couple of downsides with larger groups from my experience: 1. Other users need to right click your camera and select "Fit to frame" and 2. You don't get the full HD resolution that you get with screenshare. so, if you are needing to show PPT slides and smaller fonts, it becomes troublesome. Thanks for tuning in and for the commentary!

Hello! I'd encourage you to take a closer look at the various hot key menu. I too have mistakenly assigned a hot key to what I thought was the scene transition and it wasn't. My recommendation: Look for the "Quick Transition: " option and then assign a hot key to it. Then when you want to switch between scenes (and here I'm assuming that Scene 1 and Scene 2 have different cameras), it will switch 'er up. Good luck!

Aa far as I know, a webcam is a special device that replaces a full camera, or the built-in camera on your computer. A webcam is not a DSLR or mirrorless camera. That makes this otherwise useful video - based on the title - clickbait.

Really appreciated this video! Thinking I can use some of this for an upcoming event where I will have a live audience using a PA system and a Sony EX9200 projector. Will have 4 live presenters, 1 remote presenter, and myself as the live moderator. Will be sharing a PowerPoint presentation which the remote presenter will control approx 10 out of the 60 total slides. Need audio from room to include voice from remote presenter (so the room here’s him), and need remote presenter to hear everything generated in the live room. Also, want the live room to see the remote presenter, so was going to use Zoom or Teams to do that. Any additional guidance on this? Also want to capture a good recording of whole presentation for replay. Any other suggestions?

Hi Jeff - Sorry I missed this. With that level level of complexity, I think you'd want to move up to an actual hardware mixer where you can capture audio, video from unique laptops + cameras and mix into one feed. I'm guessing you did that and used a series of capture cards to make it happen. I'm not a professional AV technician, but I've seen what you've mentioned done, but it takes a fair amount of hardware.

@presentationplus-ups7 ай бұрын
Thanks for tuning in, and I appreciate the feedback! (This was my first video three years ago, so yeah, there was room for improvement!). For backgrounds, you have several options > either add an IMAGE or a MEDIA SOURCE (a video loop) below your greenscreen Video Capture Device > adjust the background to fit.
@joeyraff12348 ай бұрын
ok but i want to have a live video that looks and sounds like i am at work. Something like what was done in the movie Speed, where they spoof a live video from the bus that is essentially just a loop.
@presentationplus-ups7 ай бұрын
So fun, and very easy. Use OBS Studio > Select a scene with just your Camera (green screen or whatever) > hit the Start Recording button > Make sure you BEGIN and END your recording in a fairly similar position (eyes on the camera) > edit your start/end > place this video in OBS as a Scene > set to loop. I do this on occasion just to have fun with my team. Pro move: Wear the same outfit!

Yes, good idea, but I want to use Zoom&Obs for Music Jam Session, so I need best setup for minimize audio latency and I want have best audio clear quality too. I'm not sure that is possible with using Banana software. Are you sure that for this will be the best option? Best for zoom&obs tandem setup? What do you think?

@presentationplus-ups7 ай бұрын
Hi @tshee, apologize for the LATE reply. (I switched my email and these notifications got lost). I'm sure you figured out by now, but you can connect your OBS Studio virtual camera to ANY of the online studios, like Riverside, Streamyard, etc. In fact, just make sure you select your microphone and audio sources as the Voicemeeter Aux-in/out options just like on Zoom, etc. That's what I do for the podcast I host, so I can cut in my own music really nicely.

Hey Pres. I have an Elgato Green screen which you're obviously familiar with. Problem is, I can only get it so close behind me and it doesn't capture my entire web camera. So I have exposed edges on left/right side that are my actual office/room. When I apply the green screen settings, it shows whatever background I chose clear, crisp and no green edging, however, the areas outside of my greenscreen are my actual office still. As I stated, you can only get the Green Screen so close to the back of my chair, thus leaving exposed room view on either side. Any ideas on how to fix this? I thought via Chromakey [similar to using on Final Cut Pro Studio] MS Teams would factor in anything "Not" part of the green screen area - to apply the video effect to that outside green areas as well. However it doe not.
@presentationplus-ups7 ай бұрын
Hey. Sorry about the super late reply. Hopefully you've discovered the CROP tool in OBS studio. If you hold down the ALT key while dragging the little squares on the edges and/or corners of your Video Capture source in OBS, you can crop out the areas of your camera feed beyond your green screen. I do that, but also use a d-SLR as my video feed, so I can also adjust the lens to tighten up on me. Hope that helps. I've switched my email over so I'll get these replies moving forward. Cheers.

Sorry the late reply, Omar. I'm not sure if a Mac's Facetime controls allow you to customize the microphone input. I'm not much of a Mac user, so I apologize. However, that is where I'd start...I'd look for a way to customize the audio settings in Mac's Facetime to more closely mirror what you do in Zoom. However, I have not verified that, so the advice is worth the price :-)
