The whole song is beautiful, but 3:55 - 4:17 is especially gorgeous.

I read somewhere (cannot recall where) that this album was actually a full progression and tells a story, but the songs on the vinyl are out of order. Having said that, I had the original vinyl and played it endlessly, never noticing anything. But if I can find that article, I will put it here.

Here's something similar I found pretty easily ""The first Go record is based on some loose narrative that is supposed to tie the songs together. Exactly what that story is escapes me, something to do with polarity between birth and death, reality and fantasy, good and evil, the usual. Unclear if the writer of the text, Michael Quartermain, knew exactly what he was after. Steve Winwood recalls: “Mike had the lyrics all prepared in poetry form and that’s not always the easiest way of writing a song, so some things I took straight, while other things I mutilated to suit the shape of my voice. But, really, it’s all Mike’s writing; the basic idea behind the meaning of the lyrics is his. Stomu talked the play concept over with Mike, and then he came through with the lyrics.” Even more confusing is the fact that the plot starts with side two of the LP and continues to side one. Makes sense so far? The ordering was remedied in the live setting and the Go Live From Paris album is essentially the same material as the studio album with the sides flipped. From a purely musical perspective this sounds right to me. "" from Music Affectionado Blog.

Though the performances aren’t like the Central Park concert theyre still awesome. This mix is okay, too. The whole thing sounds like it just needs mastering by a tech that gives a shit and not paid by the hour.

I’m 45 and thought I’d heard all the 70’s had to offer. I stumbled upon this band today with the green eyed lady song and was intrigued. I just heard this masterpiece and am hooked. This is some of the most masterful key playing and musical arrangement I’ve heard. The Who, The Doors, Led Zeppelin are amazing. These dudes are in the same musical class.
