Great ideas! I am in the middle of making some myself, but I can't find the hole cutouts to add to my bells. Where did you find them? I have no idea what to even call them to try possibly find them in cricut design space. Lol
@HomeCulture2 күн бұрын
I made them just using the shapes option on the left hand side! I used a circle and a rectangle with the rounded corner. When I made a size/design that I liked, I welded the shapes together and cut in different sizes for the bells. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! 😊 The whole year, my home is decorated with simple and neutral ideas, but at Christmas it's fun to go a bit 'extra'! Have you been hit by the uncharacteristic snowfall? We're shocked that England/France has significantly more snow than us! And so early in the season! Stay warm!
@mags8014Күн бұрын
@@HomeCulture Yes we did get some snow but although it seemed a lot, it soon got washed away by the rain. We don’t get nearly as much snow as you get in Canada. x

I am in Canada and have been looking for 2 years! I am headed out today to figure it out! I got something called instabt snow and you add water it can get light and fluffy, but if you keep wetting it turns to slush. Which do you recommend for artificial tree? I am leaning more towards the popcorn spray
@HomeCulture2 күн бұрын
The company that makes SnoFlock just reached out to me - they saw this video and are sending me some of their product to try. That video should be out in a couple of weeks! The SnoFlock is now available on the Canadian Amazon website. Whatever you try, I would start with a light spray of any flat white spray paint - it helps other products stick better than just to the plastic needles. After that, I agree with you popcorn spray is the best option. All flocking products shed and are messy - even the ones from the store. And the popcorn spray didn't seem messier than store bought trees. Happy DIY-ing

Fabulous humongous ornaments! Love them and I can always count on you to have projects that requires spray painting! The bells are great too. Like you, drawing the bell things is not something I'm able to do and I don't own a Cricut. Would it be possible for you to take a photocopy of the bell things and upload it into your description. Not sure how technically difficult that would be but it would sure help out those of us who are challenged when it comes to drawing! 🤔 And lastly, I still adore that Christmas tree you painted behind you! 💜🎄
@HomeCulture2 күн бұрын
Oh Liane, thank you! I love that you recognized my tree painting! I don't know if KZbin will allow me upload an image, but I'll try! I used my Cricut for that shape it's just a circle on top of a rectangle that had corners rounded. So if you traced the bottom of a popsicle stick and a quarter for the top - you'd get the same shape! Silly right?? But that's all it is. Even though it's so basic, I couldn't paint that on the bell! And yes, I love spray painting so much! I had to pick something up at Home Depot this morning and they had a bunch of cans on clearance. So I bought 3!!! Christmas presents for me! 🎄

I used nail polish remover to remove sharpie on my bureau and it stained. What do I do?
@victoriap.m.69609 күн бұрын
Why would you do that
@HomeCulture6 күн бұрын
If you can find a stain or stain pen that is a similar colour to the bureau, clean the damaged area gently and dab on the stain. If the surface is rough, you might need to sand super super lightly before adding the stain. If you can find a bottle of Restore-A-Finish in matching colour to your bureau, that might do the trick too. Good luck!
@HomeCulture6 күн бұрын
My first thought would be to try hairspray to remove the marker - it works on pens.

Better to cut boxes, or open plastic packages quicker, easier with a sharp bladed utility knife, over those clunky scissors. The only truly useful tool in the kit for the 90% is the cordless rotary tool which can be had for 50 bucks.

Since then I have kept looking for DIYs and yours is the best one so far. I can’t believe this video has so many views and so few likes. Thank You for sharing, it gave me some other ideas also , the texture of the very first can you opened looks so similar in texture to wall filler available here in México . Also thinking about other kind of wall coverings such as stucco powder or similar ( maybe too heavy ? ) , worth a try. Thank You!

What a funny story! I can't believe they returned the snow flock. This is why I love KZbin so much - we all get ideas from each other and then add to them! These are Darling 🎄I’m forever Amazed by your Creativity!! I know these took you longer than the video showed (well maybe not, you’re a go getter). I made Sweatshirts for my entire family one year & had our Christmas pictures made. Family of 5, 2 brothers and I, and of course my parents. I started in late July, thinking they’d be finished by September…ha, took me right into December 😊 I embroidered their names & each family had a theme. We all had 2 children and they turned out better than expected. But oh… it took a long time! Worth every minute ✨

Hello Ana; I loved your Christmas crafts. The scraggy tree looked so much more fluffy and luxurious after the treatment! The placaaaard ( how did you say it - placad? Hm very Canadian!) is cute and the other decoupaged items were really pretty. I was using good old Mod Podge to add dried flowers to candles in my craft class the other day. Oh yes, thanks for the tip to use cling film to pick up the napkin - great idea. Thanks for the video and I look forward to your Christmas decorating one. X
@HomeCultureАй бұрын
Thank you Mags! The cling film idea is so simple and so genius at the same time - even though it wasn't my idea, I had to share it. Placard - perhaps it's a regional to us here. It's used like plaque, but plaque usually references a commemoration of sorts. Placard is more basic, like just a sign somewhere. But it much more fun to say! I hope you're showing off your skills in your craft class! You must be the best there! 😊

Help please if you can acetone nail polish remover on a suede couch can I save it
@HomeCultureАй бұрын
I use a 'gum eraser' on my suede. It's not really an eraser - it's a piece of rubber that you rub on the suede. Acetone is so strong and damaging, I don't know how much you can fix. I also hear a tiny amount of vinegar on a cloth can help. I haven't tried this but you for sure don't want to get it too wet because that will cause more damage. If you search 'suede gum eraser' you can find something that might help. I bought mine at a shoe store.

I love the matte black. I'm in the process of refinishing an old hump back trunk that's been in the family over 100 years. It's not metal between the wood, but canvas. My questions for you. The lock is broken and the leather strap handles are long gone. Do you suggest I just leave the lock as is? I can find leather handles, just not sure how to attach them. It seems all hardware is riveted on the trunk. Thank you for your tutorial, which has convinced me to paint mine black.
@HomeCultureАй бұрын
Thank you! Painting the trunk black was not only an easy solution it also make it look like an expensive antique! I could easy pry the handle hardware off my trunk without damaging it. I was careful and they came right off. If you can remove yours then you can replace the hardware and the leather. That's my plan on my next trunk. I didn't bother fixing my broken lock because I'm never going to actually lock it. And I would be scared that it would break again and be locked forever with my stuff inside! But you can buy replacement locks if you needed to secure it for any reason. For me, it's a 'feature' I wouldn't use so I left it original. Good luck and have fun refinishing your trunk!

How do you get the hanger in?
@HomeCultureАй бұрын
I did worry about that, but the flap doesn't get in the way at all. I just hang up the hangers like normal --- but --- this shelf is higher up and I have to extend my hand up to hang the hanger, so it work. But if this was a lower shelf - like when you do two rows of shelving (pants and shirts, that sort of idea) it would definitely get in the way. I actually practiced with hangers when I was in the process of making my 'prototype' to make sure it would be practical. Very observant! Great question!
