Getting old and dying are facts of life, just like losing your baby teeth and having periods or growing facial hair if male. Why focus on the negatives in life when there are so many things to enjoy/create/do/experience/start/celebrate? I'm embarrassed to admit, but I've never understood depression. If you're black, yes the cards are deliberately set up against you, but isn't that one more reason to work even harder? The satisfaction you will gain from succeeding despite all the obstacles put in your way. I'm trying hard to imagine what it might feel like to feel depressed but am failing. So while I can't understand, allow me to make a small suggestion: make every day a new day to try something new or discover SOMETHING - ANYTHING - new. If you hate cooking, try a new recipe. Just imagine the amount of new things you will have learned at the end of just one month? Then you can either go back to those new things you enjoyed and do more of them or continue trying new experiences. If you are the type of person who likes having business out there on social media, you could even share them with others. Anyway, this is my first ever post, but I could not understand your depressed state so I thought I'd try to help, and as there is no way to reach you directly, I had to say this for the world to read. Sorry about that. Take it from this old person. Life is great! Got to dash. Got a long bike ride to go on then tennis later before relaxing attempting to learn the piano (but failing badly - I don't care it's fun). Oh, and tomorrow!!!!!!! I truly don't understand why anybody might even contemplate giving up on life. Life truly is what you make it. Get out there! DO SOMETHING AMAZING - for you!
