Thanks for the tips. I have since realised it is a reserve and only been that one time. It should be signposted, becuse otherwise you only find out by word of mouth! But i agree, there are plenty of other good spots, we should leave the mole as a fishing reserve.

@paul garbett. Pretty much anywhere near rocks at 10 to 15m is good for cod. Pretty easy to shoot if you can get down to them. Most would not shoot at the mole as it is a voluntary reserve.

Hey bro, I'm studying in Dunedin at the moment and have been craving a spearfish all year. Do you reckon you could send me a few good spots worth checking out? This one in particular looks amazing, is it easy to access?
