First of all, using Game Capture for Beat Saber window capture (Capture Specific Window = BeatSaber.exe, no cursor capture and anti-cheat compatibility hook), this method is faster than using desktop capture/window capture. Second, I'm using seperate GPUs for rendering the game (RTX 3050 Laptop) and for encoding the video (iGPU, Ryzen 7 4800H), which also improves performance ingame. Output mode is set to Advanced, and the recording preset is set to following: Recording format: Fragmented MP4 (Hybrid has issues with playback on PC Discord, plus a chance that my laptop would unintentionally shut off is much more unlikely because it has a battery in it) Video encoder: AMD HW H.265 (HEVC, more efficient but less compatible with other softwares, works great with premiere pro 2018 on my end) Rate control: VBR (used to use CQP at level 12, but the bitrate was so high that premiere pro had a stroke and placed weird artifacts on high movement scenes) Bitrate: 25000 kbps (or 25mbps) Preset: Quality AMF/FFmpeg options: *profile_tier=high preanalysis=false vbaq=false filler_data=false skip_frame=false* Audio bitrate: 320 Resolution and framerate is set to 1080p60, and I make sure to set the refresh rate on my laptop to 60hz as well, that way if the framerate syncs cleanly the output video comes out smoother too (you can compare this to one of our older PC recordings that was run on 144fps (both ingame and recording), and notice they arent as smooth as this video) Advaned settings: Color Space/Range: Rec. 709 / Full

i was already practicing on standalone, i was able to pass the hard part at 2:30 on 100% speed (tho it was in practice mode), and i did get to that point without nofail or practice as well, the replay is private though as its on my attempts page lol. if i'd combine those two replays (the one outside of practice mode with the practice mode one), then i can say ive passed it. now its just me getting used more and more to PCVR beatsaber, and also i havent practiced potsb since 2 weeks now i think, so some progress here got undone 😅

​@@amelia_imvfmoe If you're struggling with a particular pattern, you can try to play it in practice mode and then watch the replay of that part at like 5% speed to see what exactly you're doing wrong. For example, I couldn't beat the part from 2:28 to 2:30 (the horizontal thingy), but I saw in the replay that I was earlyswinging them, so I was just beginning the pattern too early, or there was not enough delay between right and left saber, I was swinging with too hands together, at exactly the same time. Then I needed to kind of force myself to do it differently (which wasn't easy) and now I can do it most (or at least half) of the time. I also think PCVR is quite a bit easier due to swing bug, you can make smaller swings to hit the notes even if they are far apart or to fullswing them (I'm almost never playing on standalone because of that, I'm terrible at fullswinging XD). If you don't care about score and just want to pass it, try to make smaller swings, I feel like it helps not only with stamina, but also with understanding patterns for some reason.

still, for a newbie this looks cool! obviously there are some rough edges that need polishing, but thats completely reasonable! even my lightshow isnt perfect, there are some objects clipping together (or i couldnt find a way to cleanly move some objects away so they dont clip together), and the mid section where the center blocks explode (thanks chevron), and the lasers run right through the runway, which was pointed out by some people as not necessarily a good thing. but with time and practice, you can definitely get better! (meanwhile my most significant issue with the editor is that i couldnt convert it back to v4 to make better arcs, because it was taking ages for some reason, also please tell me how to make chains in the official editor, i still didn't figure it out and the keybind on the official documentation just hides my cursor and i cant do anything)

​@@amelia_imvfmoe I'm planning to take a break from making more advanced lights (I will be making my next map in The Second environment, so it will be way simpler v3 lights), but when I get back to the more recent environments, I will try to practice more to make more dynamic (if it will be fitting for the song) and better overall lightshows. I will also try to make better block patterns. Practicing on shorter songs probably would be the best option. As for the chains in the official editor, you need to place a block, click on it and drag it to the place where you want the chain to end. You can also scroll the playback while holding it to extend it in time. Then, when it's already placed, you can adjust the amount of fragments by holding 'ALT' and scrolling while hovering mouse pointer on it. Also, converting the map to V4 with the editor should take a few seconds, so it probably didn't want to cooperate with this map for some reason. I was able to convert the maps to V4 when they were previously converted to V3 by the website, but if your editor did output the map in V3, the file format should be the same. Unfortunately, I don't think I can help you with this issue.

​@@amelia_imvfmoe The "player place" (as the devs like to call it) is probably the only safe area. I don't have the ability to control the environment like Chevron to reflect the lasers and even if I did, all the magic would be used to float in the air after stepping off the platform. Maybe Chevron will teach me how to do that someday, but I don't think he likes me after I beat him in OST 7. The only thing left to do is staying in one place while playing the level.

we thought that it somehow made your swings bigger, and from countless attempts it looked like we just couldnt swing far enough for the wide notes at around 1:20. turns out from recent practice that it was just a skill issue lmao
