Going to write out my review as I watch this to point out his BS. This is how absolutely disgusting UScellular has been to rural USA at the CORPORATE level. Its why they are failing. -Yes, Rural USA needs help. We've begged UScellular for help in our county since 2009 to bring connectivity to my community. Their corporate office agreed and the engineers said they'd have a new tower deployed in the area by the end of 2011. It never came. In late 2012, a small regional carrier, Chariton Valley Wireless answered the call and deployed a tower and 4G coverage that offered FWA and Mobile over that network. In mid 2012 we called UScellular and asked why the tower wasn't up yet. They said they ran into some regulatory issues and that it'd be another 2 years. So, I decide to drop my line because paying for something that they aren't providing, I ain't going for. In late 2014 I get word from a UScellular customer that they called in and complained about coverage and they were told that a new tower was finally coming and it was scheduled for a late 2015 deployment and that they should stay and they'll offer some billing credits for the poor coverage. So, I figure I'll wait for a few more months and see if I see any FCC permits or mentions in the county paper.. nothing is ever posted. So I call in and level 2 tech support tells me that yes, a new tower is coming and it'll be up in the next 4 or 5 months. So I'm like, finally! I'll call back in a few weeks to sign up once my new phone comes in. I purchase a Note 5. This is October 2015. I call in, late Oct 2015 and get signed up. In late 2016 I begin messaging UScellular on Facebook asking where the tower is at and why I still don't have good coverage. They tell me to call into support. So, I do. But before I do, I go into the FCC's ASR database and find out that the tower they had supposedly been planning to build, was canceled in 2014. So, I go into this wanting an answer. UScellular is an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier which by this point I know they receive millions per year in support to build new sites in rural areas. I also knew that it was possible that we were in a sector blind spot. So, when I called tech support I said that its likely we are in a sector deadspot and that the only way to fix the problem is to turn the antenna slightly but I know thats going to happen because it'll hurt coverage elsewhere. So, what else could be done? He submitted a support ticket to engineering. 2 weeks go by, I get no response from them. I finally call in and they told me that they had called me and told me what the results were. They NEVER called me. Engineering had determined that the town lacked 4G LTE coverage. Only had 3G and 1X coverage and only small areas were left without any coverage. In 2017 I learned that UScellular had submitted Form 477 coverage maps showing my entire town as served by 5/1 LTE coverage despite knowing for a FACT that they had ZERO coverage that met that within that census block. At this point I just decide to provide UScellular social media teams updates on the daily service outages. So they know and prospective customers know how bad the network is. At some point- their Facebook social media team blocks me. Then their Twitter team a year or so later. In late 2019, I call in and ask for some sort of credit for the continued service outages in Bethel, MO. Retentions agrees to provide 50% off a Note10+. I take up the offer in December 2020. In late 2020 I call in again and I ask just flat out why UScellular has refused to build out in my area and I was flat out told to call my county commissioners as they were the ones blocking it. So, I go to my county commissioners and explain that UScellular is blaming them and they don't have a clue what UScellular is talking about. They have never blocked or even gotten notice about a new UScellular tower. The county doesn't even have permits for cell towers. About this time in September 2021, UScellular cuts off 3G service. The only remaining "broadband" coverage they offered in most of the town. After that it was only 1XRTT. However, my Note10+ no longer supported 1XRTT and requires VoLTE for voice and text services- so, now my coverage complaints have elevated. So in 2021, I filed an FCC complaint and made a formal accusation, accusing UScellular of intentionally lying to the FCC about 4G LTE coverage. They have known and repeatedly lied about coverage. 29 days later, I get a response accusing me of being a liar. Calling my claim that they lied "baseless and without merit" despite all this evidence showing they KNEW, had on the ground evidence showing it and they still lied to the FCC. To just cut to the end here, Its 2023. Almost 2024 and UScellular has bled out in this county going from 40-45% market share to now about 6%. Having dropped from 11-12% in 2020 to 6% in August 2023. Despite all their towers in the county being 5G modernized, they are still bleeding customers because of one simple problem- Coverage. In my county there are over 1,000 people that UScellular does not cover. I am one of those 1,000. I spend 9-11 hours of my day OUT OF SERVICE on UScellular. No roaming access and during 2022, from May 17, 2022 to November 27th, 2022- They blocked 911 calls while in emergency mode because they refused to allow VoLTE roaming on Verizon. My own county commissioners even wrote a front page op-ed in the county paper after the Presiding Commissioner at the time and UScellular customer called in to get answers about when a new tower was coming... they told him 5 more years in August 2022. He left and went to T-Mobile and he lives on the west side of Shelbyville, MO. Just last week, my neighbor and his family- 9 lines, 2 accounts.. all left UScellular and went to Verizon. Why? No coverage on UScellular. So as far as I know, I am now one of the last 5 UScellular customers in Bethel, MO. They are paying more now than they did. So it had nothing to do with pricing or promotions. We are all fed up with UScellular not following through with their promises on rural service. In 2017 I made the prediction that my town of Bethel, MO will get Fiber To the Home before we get UScellular 4G.. My ISP is laying the fiber in town right now. They even ran fiber to the Gateway Tower Holdings site 1/4 mile north of Bethel, MO so FirstNet could co-locate on the tower. My ISP has a POP in town. In December 2022, I filed an FCC service challenge on the broadband maps and it took 59 days for UScellular to dispute my challenge. 3 days later I filed my rebuttal and it took 59 more days for UScellular to decide to concede. For an address they already KNEW they didn't cover.

This can stop one texter but you have to do it for each and every sender and most scammers have hundreds! We need an automated system to verify that text come from who they say they are coming from.

I wish TMobile would provide it's home internet customers the latest modems instead of leaving us original customers on an old outdated 4g only wifi router! Great way to lose customers don't update your tech except for brand new customers! Shame on TMobile! Don't even get me started on what they did to sprint customers when they bought out sprint. Now they just bought mint mobile so I'm probably going to have to ditch it too.

too bad they just use old antennas , and slap 5g antennas , and as for sprint , I've talked to so many people that say sprint towers no longer work. as a former TMobile customer , you network was always crashing and never had good service in the woods. it's not that expensive to put a a few towers since you guys get hacked every week , and dump millions into repairing that. spend a few million on towers.
