Reading the comments are so funny 😂 I think we all suffer the same fate with this one. Banding with the lighting, hilt handle material is awful, swing movement sound isn’t that great, sometimes it makes the clash sound. But damn there are some really nice aspects to this one also…nice heavy metal hilt, the start up with green/blue is awesome, the triangle points at the top glow from looking hot, the sound of the saber itself on idle is great I think. Still, neopixel sabers have come such a long way now and quite honestly look amazing. You just gotta spend an extra $300. My advice would be IF you were going to 100% buy another saber, don’t, keep your money, save a bit more, and go get a fantastic hilt with SO many colour and sound options from Saber Forge or something.

I ordered mine today from Gamestop, and it was delivered today with Doordash~ I only have two nitpicks 1) There is a little bit of banding with the led strip in the blade. 2) The grip straps get way too stringy/loose threads way too fast. With that said its a beautiful saber (my first). I could see myself in the future restrapping it with a more durable fabric or leather~ Also, I find myself just turning it on and off to see the green/blue flash before it ignites~ Also, I think the plastic triangles add a cool effect when the blade is lit, as they seem semi translucent and actually look like they are getting super hot from being exposed to the blade~

Awesome Video. I’m a big fan of lightsabers and aiming to get a one myself. I sell wall mounts for lightsabers on Amazon. Doing a give-away for folks that can review how my wall mount fits their lightsabers. Let me know if you are interested getting a FREE sample to try.😊🎁🎁

Nice look. I ordered mine from Hasbro Pulse so I probably have a bit more to wait to get mine. To answer your question, the Blades for the Black Series Elite sabers are not compatible with the blades you get from the Disney Parks. I've tried to use a blade from my Savi's workshop sabers and they do not fit.

That’s a bummer, I was hoping the Hasbro and Disney blades were interchangeable since I think they are all made in the same factory. Thanks for the info 😃

Here from the RPF gonna combine this and samurai sabers ROTJ saber tutorial just modifying it and also making it Luke’s V2 bc its my favorite
thank heaven for this video! I bought a Korbanth K4 which had a graflex clip with the lever on the button side instead of opposite, plus it was too loose and the bubble strip wouldn't stay in. I was going nuts trying to figure out how to tighten it up and how to remove it so I could flip the lever around.

What about in the case of my clamp being as tight as it will go on my card, but it’s loose when it’s on my v2 hilt. Right now I can’t make it any tighter on my card but it has room to move around loosely on the hilt

In the case of the k4 korbanth, the buttons on the side interfere with sliding pre adjusted clamp on . it'll ruin the delicates buttons. I recommend turning your square hole into a round hole. Use a Dremel.the square washer covers the round hole and you can turn the clamp screw till it's perfect.

Hey James, is there anyway I can email you or message you some type of way? I inquired a obi wan saber that I think may have some vintage parts, but I’m not sure and need some help identifying this hilt, if you could help in anyway possible that would be greatly appreciated!

Can the clamp be adjusted to fit a tube with a diameter 1/4 of an inch larger than a graflex tube?
@DanielTesenair7 жыл бұрын
how far can a graflex clamp open? I'm converting a Luke ANH Black Series saber, and I'm changing the switch from the bubble card to a real red button, and I want to replace the stock clamp with an actual graflex clamp. Theres no way to slide it over the attached bunny ears or grips, so I have to stretch it over the actual body of the saber. is that possible?
@JamesKenobi11387 жыл бұрын
Virtually Mainstream Normally when a Graflex clamp is assembled correctly, when it's opened it would be a super-tight fit to move it into position on a saber tube and not scrape the saber body with the clamp tabs. Another issue is the BS FX saber body is 1-piece, so you can't slide the clamp up the grip side and you can't slide the clamp down the top either. If you disassemble the clamp, it will easily open up wide enough to pass over either side of the saber but you'll have to attach the sidebars and lever on the saber and you won't be able to squeeze the clamp together. You can screw/tighten the lever on the saber, but you've got to go crazy slow otherwise you'll break the lever off the threaded post.

Very cool video review! From my part of Eastern Europe it was hard to get some of these old books, including the Technical Journals back then. I only got the Rebels and Tatooine, and as an Imperial fan I always wanted... the Imperial one. In the end I got the hardcover version with all three together. Also the "From Star Wars to Indiana Jones" book is the same with "Star Wars Archives" book I have. Agreed on "Chronicles" and "Making of" books.

Where did you get that booster with the piece that attaches to the tabs inside the clamp? pretty much every obi wan lightsaber I see just screws into the clamp. i want one that works just like the flashgun, if that makes sense, I want to do a crystal reveal and I feel that is a more realistic way to open it than to unscrew it. for example at 4:58 when you take it apart

I didn't notice a difference except it did feel a little different compared to my AP helmet. The helmet is crazy sharp, maybe they used .7 for the helmet and .8 for the suit.

Thanks for the review. I just got mine today and noticed the ABS of the helmet is thinner than the ABS of the armor. I wasn't expecting that. My helmet's ABS seems to be the same gauge they used on the belt. How does yours compare?

Hi Thanks for the video. How did you attach the elastic for the neck to the face-mask so it's super secure?
@JamesKenobi113811 жыл бұрын
I actually glued the elastic in place, and then fiberglassed over the elastic part inside the facemask allowing the elastic to soak up the fiberglass resin for strength.

VERY COOL! I plan to use this to make a blue ultimate FX lightsaber (Im on a pretty tight budget) blade white; if applied over that style of LED, would it theoretically glow white not only when a picture with flash is taken, but also when it is activated?
