That's certainly unfortunate news. I figured that since it was a vanilla-like server it wasn't likely going to last very long, but I just had to give it a chance since they had a pretty unique premise :/ Most vanilla servers in the private server scene don't last longer than a few months, often due to them running out of content to offer to its players. The rest of the servers I displayed here however are actually servers that have been operating for YEARS. They won't be dying anytime soon and have withstood the test of time, so if any other ones genuinely caught your interest I'd suggest giving them a spin as well. They might not be highest in player count either, but they have dedicated communities that stay and features that make Flyff feel like a different beast. If you're looking to stick to the original format as closely as possible however, perhaps staying with Flyff Universe might be the best choice for you :) Thanks for updating me on the state of Neonara.

Sorry to disappoint ya, but I haven't touched the game in weeks x) I only have characters in Totemia, so unless you saw me there, you were dealing with an impostor! Otherwise I might have to check my account for hackers 👀 Giraffe heads are still funny though. :D

If this was supposed to be just a recreation of Flyff from V7 from the get-go, maybe the shock and disappointment wouldn't be strong for us pioneers. Flyff Universe was originally meant to be a more accessible, more F2P friendly version of the game even if not completely that, and mostly funded by regularly circulating fashion sets. GALA took rains unfortunately and it's been pretty much downhill ever since. For many of the people who drop in it's basically regular Flyff but a little better than what the official servers offer, but for us who've been here since the beginning are dealing with a GREAT deal of betrayal x) In any case though, I'm happy to hear that Flyff has given you some solace and a way to enjoy gaming now that your PC's busted, hope you'll be able to fix your rig soon :D Enjoy the game while you still can!!

AoE assist is as straightforward of a "spanktank" build as it could ever be, just build mostly STA and maybe some STR if you feel like you can sacrifice some tankiness for extra damage :) Observe your own playstyle and preferences and make it best suited for you! Assists before 2nd jobs are quite squishy even with high STA, but once you come around to Billposter/Ringmaster choices, you should be way better off :) Remember that depending on the class you choose at 60 and if you still wish to AoE, the stats you should focus on will vary. As a BP you should probably still stick to STR as the INT AoE when I used to play was much more inferior compared to the AoE you unlock as an Assist, and as Ringmaster on the other hand your skills and buffs will scale with INT. Just remember to find a balance between STA and INT/STR, you'll do fine if you test your builds as you go <3

This is specifically for bows I presume? Because depending on the weapon of choice, the stats have different relevance. If it's a bow, STR is meaningless and you should by all means put as much as you can into DEX. Adversely, with yoyos it's important to find a balance between STR and DEX so you won't be just fast and dealing no damage or high damage with low speed and accuracy. Neither of the acrobat subclasses however are tanky by design - STA has varying effects and values for each class, and for Ranger/Jester in particular this value isn't exactly impressive. This is why for example you might see most Ranger "tanks" go for more HP% bonus stats rather than actual STA - it just doesn't do that much. And since DEX offers more block and parry rate, it's debatable whether STA is worth it to go for to begin with. For Jesters, you'd wanna focus as much as you can on putting your points on DEX and STR so you can reach your ideal potential as soon as possible. The approach however would be yours to make x)

I understand how you feel about it and it was also something I took into consideration when I made the final decision, but since majority at the time were in agreement I should keep it, I decided to go along with it x) I do admit though that I was lucky and not everyone will get the same treatment, so I come out as privileged even though unintentionally. I'm sorry about that x.x As I believe I stated on the video though, this only sped up the process a little but it certainly isn't an insurmountable wall that you can't overcome without being gifted with stuff - later in the series (perhaps it was even starting from this episode, I don't remember), I am demonstrating how I would make money from scratch as a newbie so even if it wasn't exactly in your 30s, you should be able to get the Comet/Cylos suit well before level 60 if you play your cards correctly! This will always be very server and time subjective though, as in a moving player market prices and the value of things is always subject to change the more time elapses :)

Mad respect to RM mains, especially tough to play as one nowadays since everyone resorts to multiboxing! I believe monetizing cosmetics was initially the plan with Flyff Universe, but I think GALA imposed some structural changes for the game and the game had to be turned into a fully-fledged money milker :/ I've heard lots of good about Path of Exile, but frankly I'm starting to be more of the opinion that MMOs are an impossible genre to make content out of if I wanna stick to variety. It simply takes too long to achieve anything and people tend to be pretty confined into content focused on the MMO that they play - so I feel like I might not bring myself around to featuring PoE in my channel :P

It's insanity alright, but it's something that way too many players got used to ever since they allowed multiboxing way back when. And the way it's gotten to the point where people have an ENTIRE group of alts just for having a fully sized party is just craziness to me! Hard to change how people play this game though, but I can ascertain that you're not the only one who feels that way - including me. @@ashkynabtulov9079 Make sure you've done all the prerequisites! The 60 questline starts from Reonan in Flarine. Check which quest you did last in your quest log, search up the name in flyffipedia.com and see from there which quest comes next and from which NPC :)

Well player count is an important factor to me when I went on checking and evaluating servers since many here are primarily concerned about that :) It's also a big snowball effect unfortunately, if it ain't popular already then it's hard to make it the other way around. Thanks for the heads-up though, maybe someone will consider giving it a shot ^^

@@joelee1726 Nah, I already checked out Insanity and decided not to include it in a video, and that's final x) I can tell you though that it does have a decent amount of players in it, but I'm not sure how long an average player is going to stay in the server. The people I managed to talk with there had only started a few days ago just like me.

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked it out on Steam and it's pretty interesting to see a survival game that presents itself similar to Diablo games (or other eagle-eye view games). Have to definitely look up some more gameplay for this game before giving it serious consideration. Seems like it'd make a potential co-op game too ^^

I'm happy to see that the entire selection I've got in mind is looking appealing to ya! EBF in particular I'm quite excited about, I own EBF4 & 5 in their premium versions and I'd be eager to remake my old splintered version of the series! Seems like to some extent I made a good choice moving away from OSRS, but variety has been my plan all along. I realized now after playing it so much that progressing in the game is too damn slow if I wanna do something with it :D Shaman type really sounds like you, M'igo. I actually like enhancement shaman myself, I've been playing that with a friend in a duo in a private server, it's a crazy fun hybrid of Warrior brashness and spellcasting :P It's honestly going to be a tall order to make my content actually stand out differently especially after reverting to a much simpler format, but I hope my silliness can make things interesting for you! You won't be seeing clickbait shit from me either, that's one of the cardinal sins of creating that I can't stand for and I'm happy that I'm not the only one who feels that way xD

I think it's an acceptable size series that even I could do, especially since I have experience doing it before. Definitely an unfortunate case though, bots do make it a lot harder to get to that level, especially since bonds keep inflating while the free money making methods really don't. My problem with OSRS is pretty much the same as yours right now, I hardly find myself the time to maintain any bonds even under membership. As a member I'd have to run roughly 3-4 times for herbs a day (as shown in my post-bond video) and that already takes quite a few hours on its own. So don't even get me started on F2P methods - over a dozen hours at least doing some pretty monotonous processing which might not work for everyone - this is the reason why I'm unsure whether I wanna dedicate myself into OSRS content though, since it'll be hard to do anything else if I really wanted to commit into it x.x If the company can make its players pay that much, then there's no reason for them not to increase prices. Scummy, I know :p

Yeah, private server communities are much smaller in general and the PvP community is kind of a niche on its own in the game already. Most changes made to the servers itself are usually revolved around PvE too. Unless it's one of the bigger servers, it can be hard to maintain a PvP friendly environment, so for a PvP player like you I can totally understand why private servers aren't a realistic long-term option :(

Yes, from what I understand nowadays flying enemies are the only way to drop Plug Earrings which is just like how it used to be in the past, and +6 and +7 variants are definitely worth something. Giants themselves shouldn't be worth the effort unless they give higher chance for earring drops though, as they apparently don't drop any unique weaponry. Can't deny that they're easy though x)

This was honestly a mistake from my part, I've heard people talk about Chronicles of Madrigal after the fact and I have no clue how that got under my radar - if I had realized, I would've given a fair chance for it too and perhaps even had it also included in the video. Oh well, nobody's perfect x)

@ I checked into it soon after myself, and indeed the server has apparently been suffering from player count as of late. I think that server's popularity is long gone, despite the high praise I used to hear in the past :(

Are we talking the usual AoE buffs you get from Seraph/Force Masters, or did the server come with additional ones? I only played with a Ranger to a point and didn't really have the time to try and get every other class to high level :o Assuming that's the case though, it's unfortunately a problem that's persistent in most iterations of Flyff, including the official servers :/ You could say that most players expect it to be that way. Sad to hear you didn't quite connect with it though, good luck with the server hunt!!

I was scouting some simpler servers too, but unfortunately all of those in question were servers which were already basically dead and had no longevity. The 6th server that was also meant to be in this video, SereinFlyFF was a great low-rate but recently ceased operations x.x If you want close to vanilla experience, honestly Neonara is your best bet. On the other hand, if you want a better chance to experience Flyff as a high level, I'd consider giving one of the other low or mid-rates a go x)

I respect your opinion on that and understand that you might find private server's inferior in modern terms, but there's a pretty sizeable community for it even today. Speaks volumes for that there's still plenty of people who like to play them ;D

Yeah, it's an old game that wasn't originally optimized for Mac and almost all private servers are based on legacy clients. I didn't honestly think of that fact, I'm sorry that you won't get a chance to try them out 😥

This is the official information that I could find on their website and their initial release trailer. I also gathered that the server might've been around for longer, but maybe under a different name, different branding or an old concept. But this variation of Dragon Crusade has been around since then x)

@@DragonCrusadeFlyff Wow, that's a REALLY long legacy you've got there with the server. Crazy to see how much it's transformed over the years - thanks for the heads-up! :)

There is no server which wouldn't benefit from having extra characters in the background, but if I had to judge which ones are closest to offering a genuine solo experience, I would put my chips between Neonara and Prologic Flyff. Neonara's skill system doesn't have any levels, so whatever you can get from buff pangs and players is already at maximum potential. There's also the case where RM buffs for example are given to all players within radius regardless if they're in a party or not, so there's some guys who have their RMs stationed at Flaris autocasting RM buffs with FTool. Neonara's food items also scale based on your max HP! So you can get pretty far with solo on that :D Prologic Flyff as I presented in the video has Super Buff Pangs, which include all support buffs, including RM, Seraph and Force Master buffs at the same time at 80% capacity, not perfect but still way better than average ^^ They also have custom food items that can pretty much heal you to full for quite some time, so you won't have to rely on an extra RM alt if you don't want to for quite some time :p That being said, having extra healers, buffers and AFK collectors on servers which involve collecting is always a bonus, but that's up to you! Most dungeons aren't also designed to be soloable, so in that scenario I hope you can find some people to play with instead :)

Hell yeah, more people to the Mystralia camp! I loved this server with a passion when I was giving it a try too, I kinda felt bad to stop playing when I figured I knew enough for final evaluation 😭There's so much that's unique to this server alone and I can't say you've made a bad choice with it :)

Thanks for recognizing it! It certainly was a ride, but I'm happy at the end for making it - it ended up being one of the coolest things I've done so far as a creator and got to bring so much for the Flyff community in a single release ^^

@@Taikausko I'm thinking of sticking to making some more F2P-related content for now, particularly thinking of showing the road that leads to the point where you can grind a bond on your own and making a small series out of it as I'm not exactly strong enough in the game to make good videos out of any of the membership features. I was thinking of making some ironman stuff and maybe some mid/endgame content about my main somewhere in the future, but reaching that point will still take some time :D

Finding a retro server is kind of hard in the private server community unfortunately, these servers have a cost to maintain and usually just "pure vanilla" is not enticing enough for enough people to make for the costs. That used to be more in the past, but Flyff is already a small game and private servers are even smaller. There's no true "retro" I could offer, but Neonara out of all these is probably the closest.

There's Flyff Realm it's 120 without hero or master, and it opened recently if i'm not mistaken
