I think the noise is a trademark of harley, I'm leaving mine as such. If I wanted a " quiet " bike I would have bought a metric bike. 😂

Thanks for warning me of the pia of m8 rocker box covers. I have a '23 Low Rider s with crimkle black covers and was going to buy some polished Softail Standard covers and switch. Upper and lower covers oem are a rip, so maybe I'll just live with them.

The throttle unit on my 2020 FXST Standard turns so hard it makes my wrist get tired after riding 1/2 hour. Someone should manufacture an aftermarket replacement that has a tension adjustment.

No you don't need to remove the clutch or compensator on the other side but you do have to remove the primary cover as well as the jackshaft bolt on the end of the starter gear.

Pass through socket on the bolt, then a ratcheting wrench with the articulating box end works for the rear cylinder bolts.

What do you mean by waiting for the lifters to bleed down? Am i not suppose to put everything back on right away? I dont see this on my service manual
@bullast2046
@bullast2046 Жыл бұрын
The lifters are hydraulic, meaning they have oil in them.. if you do it on the bike, reinstall the rockers on the cylinder that’s on TDC (meaning valves are closed)..
