It is a lovely bronzer. I didn't compare it to the powder one from Dior because cream bronzer are very different formulas and I'm sure they will be using a slightly different way of adding pigments too but I would say my Dior one comes up a similar shade to the Chanel cream bronzer in the original paler shade.

⁠Yes powder and cream I would imagine are very different. If you had not recommended the Chanel cream one I probably would have overlooked it as I had never used a cream bronzer before. I got the lightest shade at duty free so was a little cheaper, ideally would have liked the medium but it was out of stock. I will save and buy the medium next month so I can go between the two, although it is out of stock on the Chanel website. X

I have been eyeing up that foundation, too. I have the older formulation of it, and it's lovely, so I'm trying to get a sample of the new one before I commit to buying. I'm a bit concerned as Dior have ruined a couple of my favourites and £50 is a big commitment if it's not that good. I don't know the policy for returning makeup in NZ, but it's not a thing in UK unless you can Prove it breaks you out. You can't return it if it just doesn't suit you.

I adored their Backstage foundation when it first came out .... 1c was the Perfect colour for me BUT that reformulaton they did a year or two ago.... the colours changed!! They had the same name colours so I bought it and Bingo - that foundation became soo yellow ! No, I could not take it back ! Rrrrrrr That new Hydra Nude foundation ..... I am getting a sample too...... Aus$ 105 ! If its my perfect colour I will buy it as its hard to find a foundation that suits.... I have some pink in my skin. You would think it was be easy ... but its not!!!

Yeah, I thought you were in OZ, I must have read that wrong. Yeah, I bought the stick foundation, the skin perfect, and normally I'm 2N, but it looked dark online. Luckily, i opted for 1.5N and it's perfect but 2N would have been too dark

Thanks, Melinda. I think it's all about the algorithm with KZbin. It's a bit of a catch-22 situation. If people don't watch, then the algorithm won't push out your vid to more people, and it also recognises likes and comments, so I really appreciate you commenting on my vids. I just have to make sure I keep making relevant content to keep the interest. I'm also going to try out different approaches like I did with this vid, next year. I sort of don't want to follow the masses, although people do click on new product reviews more than any other. Again, I think you have to have many followers before PRs send you any products, but in a way, I'm happy I don't get them. I don't want them telling me what to say and how to say it. I will only accept products on my terms tbh. Interestingly, I got more offers of products when I had the blog. I think blogs have been overtaken by KZbin, but unfortunately, people prefer visuals, and i have to admit, I don't read as much since the Internet came about. I just hope I can get more than a 1000 followers in 2025. I could kick myself because when I first started on YT, you didn't need to have that many followers to be making money on adsense, but now it's very different. I have to look out for Coquette. I bought the holiday mini kit which has Poppy, Mimi and another Petal in . I don't mind having two petals as this is a lovely shade. I will talk about them in the next vid I agree, they are lovely and stay put and I'm still going through hot flashes.

I can't make my mind up. I have one Blush Stick by Chanel, and it holds a lot of product. It is old, so I think it's not as creamy anymore. I love the WA one because it blends super quick, but is that because it is new? It is lovely, though.

@@mirifiquebeauty I have that new creme blush that Chanel put out this year and it goes "lumpy" and looks very dry. The Westman is so good that I bought another colour -Coquette , a nice peachy pink. I too have the Petal one. They are pricey but for me , far worth it than the weird putty like Chanel.

I wasn't enamoured with those Chanel blushers so I never bought any. What a shame they go weird at that price too, which is only £4 cheaper than the WA one. I had the original cream blush by Chanel that came out oh years back and they were really nice. I'm a little disappointed with some new Chanel Beauty lately and now I here they are reformulated the eyeshadows 😮

I do like highlighters but I find I cannot use them now as they highlight the wrinkles !!! lol Don't tell me they are changing the formula of the eyeshadows! World has gone Crazy !!! lol

The Balm essential highlighters are fantastic for Mature skin you know. I wear them all the time because they don't actually highlight the lines around the eyes.

Absolutely 💯. I am bringing out the ring light for the next one. I just spent so much time making and editing the vid and by time I realised it had turned out really dark, it was so late. I'm so sorry for that. I was toying with binning the vid altogether but six hours in, I didn't have the will. I have a short up of the swatch of the Lisa Eldridge medici in much better lighting and I linked my precious vid below, which also shows it in better light. I was trying to avoid the ring light as I love to film in natural light but I think it's a must now. Thankyou for commenting.

If I had to pick between those ones you mentioned, I would go for Ashes of Roses as this is a neutral shade and can be worn on any occasion and Medici as this can also be an evening lipstick. I think Lisa is a bit too pink for me, and Romy is like a cool beige version of Medici. I hope you love your choices. They feel so nice on the lips. Thanks for commenting.

Absolutely 💯 agree with you. They are slowly becoming too main stream and are in danger of losing that status they once had. I have saved so much money this year because Chanel doesn't allow me to be inclusive of some of their collections anymore. Some have been good but they now need to ditch the over sized and just make smaller products with the ultimate luxury ingredients. Sadly, I think that's not going to happen. 2010- 2016 where their best years for makeup but that is obviously my opinion. Thanks for commenting 🙂

It's great that it worked for you. For me, as mentioned, I feel like it is just too big. If they had made an Eyeshadow quad without the orange, I may have been more interested. I think i have run the gamut with Chanel. I loved Chanel when Peter Philips was at the helm.

I'm not sure if you remember years ago, Chanel made cream blushers in a pan. They dried to a powder finish, and I still have the remnants of the one I bought, and it never dried out. It was lovely and I was expecting these to be similar, but they just aren't. I agree with the weird colours. It just doesn't fit into the classic brand, but I do understand that they want to attract different genres. At least I got to save a bit of money this year on holiday ranges. I just don't have that type of disposable income anymore to buy similar products with new packaging.

Rrrrrrr Like you - I thought they have brought them back but this new one is not great and nothing like those beautiful old ones! The new ones go on patchy on me and really not Wow for the $$ . I have only one thank goodness! The pink one as I have fair skin. People are going nuts for them but if they ever knew of those old ones that we loved.... Prices are going up and up and money is tight around the world. I have cut back a bit. Gosh its hard . lol You know.... if you re-visited your collection and put some on or even talked and swatched them it would be interesting to makeup loves like me! @pinkroses8714 Yeah, they discontinued them so quickly, so annoying. I only got as far as swatching the new ones in the shop and thought they looked so ordinary. I have thought of doing a 'will i buy it', but I sort of hate those vids. Mainly because you get the influencers who say they won't be buying something and then they get it given to review and pretend they changed their minds. That annoys me so much. I may do a different take on that though !!! You've given me a better idea 💡😃👏

I think they are given a 'script' to mention things about each product and how to apply the makeup, too. It ends up quite boring to watch them. I won't be given products to review because I also point out their flaws but I'm not going to change 🙃

It's not like that on my skin even though it's the official description. I usually go for B20 in Chanel foundations but that was warm in this iteration, so I chose BD21 instead.

The thing is, Chanel had this issue years back in the early 00s, and they actually addressed it after getting many complaints, but they must have to use more expensive ingredients to deal with the issue. The result was the Joues Contraste Blushers, which never hard pan. So it would appear they can produce products which don't hard pan. I'm very reluctant now to buy any of the powder products from Chanel. Not only do people not have endless amounts of brushes, but who has that sort of time? I literally slap my makeup on in the morning for work.

I have not yet noticed own in my duo blush highlighter that came this summer. But on my trio there is hard pan now and its sad
