I really appreciated this video. The monologue on universal myth is appropriate here - Kawajiri's works are always built around simple, time-tested tropes. His characters are archetypes: the stoic, modest hero; the flawed, childish woman he must protect from herself; the wise sage; and the massive, demigodlike villain, desperately pushing against the boundaries of humanity and becoming monstrous in the process. We know these stories. They're comforting and deeply satisfying. This is why his films are so watchable; it's easy to see why they're popular in the West, even through barriers of language and culture.

Thx man your statement means allot, yeah I was trapped man terrible dilemma I wasted 8 years of my life trapped in a house. No work, No School , finite amount of friends, little to no contact with good people, no salary , all because I had no documents to prove my identity. Im curious as to where you saw my comment, to my ever gratefulness I finally got out I'm living Canada now when I landed I was forced into homelessness and now I'm into joblessness one struggle after the other but I'm trying to survive. Thx a million man , your comment really moved me
