I understand your frustration and that is why I mentioned clearly in my channel description, this is not a blogging (vlogging) channel but here I capture and share the experience of the drive on Indian roads and anyone who wants to have a prior virtual experience of the roads before they want to get started for such kind of exhaustive, interesting and extra long driving. This is not my primary job, neither intended for any earning neither for entertainment of anyone, but only for information which anyone can visualize end to end.

It was actually Monday morning, 1st May 2023. Though it was a holiday still I started early in the morning so as to cover as much possible before the traffic surge within the city.

from 1:23:20 midnapore bypass starts . In which time you gone in this route ?? its actully no more exist as part of highway because in office time midnapore bypass has medium traffic . as people now use it as office time route specially between midnapore and kharagpur. if you came here in office times you may have find more traffic.1:26:09 in the turning point if you have gone straight just 2 km. you will reach at kharagpur chowrangee crossing which connects kharagpur with nh-16. at turn 1:16 the road was made to avoid the traffic pressure of chowrangee

Fist of all, Thank You! for going in such a detail and also suggesting the alternative route. I actually followed Google Maps. Now, the reason of no traffic in my route was the day being the Eid day, (11-Apr-2024), so everything was shut and in fact we did not even get any option for having lunch. So one way it helped with reduced traffic, other side we had to drive without lunch for the day. :)

How's the road surface condition from Chitradurga to Shimoga?

Roads on this route was really great and ~99% of the road condition can be rated as 4.5 out of 5 rest was between 4 to 4.5out of 5. There was no bad stretch. Average speed was > 55 kmph with top speed was >120 kmph

@@DrivesAndDestinations thanks a lot... I have seen the BLR ARasikere SMG road under construction. Had used to travel in BLR - Chitradurga - SMG many years ago.. Also I saw no speedbreaker on ur video except near railway crossing and inside Durga city..

nice..6 lane road Mumbai - Pune- Satara - 8-10kms ahead of Satara then again Belegavi outer - Dharwad then Hubli - Tumkur... Hubli - dharwad is 2 lane and remaining portions are 4 lane!

Dharwad- Hubli is also a part of Bengaluru- Belagavi highway NH4..it was 2 lane since before and kept same till now..seems 4 lane work has started in your video

its shirter...just 25-35 kmmore than the shortest route via Tumkur, tiptur and good road condition Alternative is Bangalore-Channarayapatna - Arsikere - Shimoga
