I was born in Sarasota Memorial, I’m 19 years old, I moved to Bradenton when I was 9. From the time I was 4, to 9 years old, I lived in a house on 9th street, it was built in 1926, and we knew there was something very spiritually and emotionally WRONG with that house. I have many stories, but allegedly, a man killed his entire family and then himself, I’m guessing that was anytime between the 30’s to the 70’s, is there anyway you’d know anything about that neighborhood?

I’m at a wall right now, I’m pre qualified, but trying to find work is the hard part. They want you to already live in Florida but loan approval wants you to have a job lined up. So seems like I can’t win smh.

I grew up there. Miami, then Orlando and finally Treasure Coast. I do miss some things. Bu I left to the northeast in 2021 & didn’t look back. Astronomical increases for insurance across everything: home, auto, flood, renters etc. Insane increase in cost of living due to remote workers, investors, retirees with large pensions and Airbnb housing. Human and car congestion is also real. Too many people moved there too fast into the same areas. Now there’s a mini exodus to the next paradise they can obliterate like a plague of locusts.

Anything new for the residents? What's excited about the county getting a new building? How about fixing the horrible traffic on Siesta key? Or beach parking? Maybe something new for young people? I'm not saying they're no improvement but too slow and not enough.

Sounds like two rich residents use influence and money to protect their home , regardless of any other effects or consequences to the wayer quality, shoreline, or any one else for that matter. Stop procrastinating, and open the pass. Those two home owners, if they are still resident, could build a sea wall. Expensive, but they probably could afford it.

I absolutely hate FL! Can’t wait to leave! I’ve lived in 5 states and FL is by far the worst! It has the rudest people by far, insurance is insane, the drivers are nuts and the houses are ugly, square blocks! No seasons, it’s just hot, hotter and hell!

Palm Aire is nice, but The Meadows is the best. More activity on the tennis courts, the golf courses, and the fitness center. But not crowded at all. And the open green spaces are the best.
