In the 90s, my Dad used to do plays at Stagecoach Stop inside of the Saloon and at the amphitheater once it was built, so I spent a lot of time there. Guys & Dolls, Oklahoma as Curlt, etc. I have a ton of great memories there and this documentary stirred memories in me of simpler times. Thanks for making this!

I was just up at stage coach stop a few days ago. The new owners are fixing it up and the lodge is open. Got to get some video footage up there. Hopefully they can make it as good or better than it was years ago.

There is a new gunslinger up at the stagecoach stop. I will be back in town tomorrow and you will find me there. (Youll know exactly who.) PLEASE come down this week and TELL ME MORE STORIES. Keep your faith for a little longer Michigan. I see how much love you have for all these attractions.

I have the opposite problem. My house is completely packed with things that belong in a museum. And in 20 years I haven't been able to find a place to start a museum. I have a photo of one of my daughter's at age 2 in 1995 sitting on a horse in front of Stagecoach Stop in her reenactor clothes. I was in 55 movies. My daughter was in sevearal as well. So I kept everything from 55 films. I also have a toy collection from the 1960's and 1970's. A small collection of J.F.K. -R.F.K. items. I kept the wardrobe, movies, and uniforms from the films. And have Marx Revolutionary War and especially War Between The States toy soldiers, etc. I didn't get rich or famous. But I did accientally double the record in the history of movies, doing stunts for 20 years, according to IMDb. As a little kid I used to go with our entire family to Frontier City. Then later took my daughter to Stagecoach Stop. I had a place for a museum picked out in 2017, but got tied up with other things, and the deal never went through. I just want to preserve my collection. I'd love to see Stagecoach Stop make a come back. I thought of it as a place that reenactors could have annual events on weekends, and also as a place to make Western Films in Michigan. Funding is the problem. But it could be brought back first as a Western ghost town, until it could be fixed back to it's former self.

We loved Prehistoric Forest. Later, I took my grandkids to Mystery Hill. We loved it! Sadly, dem Gov. Whitmer put the “coffin nail” in a lot of Michigan small businesses.

Fascinating. My family would drive through Irish Hills to get to MIS and my mom would talk about the attractions there, but most of it was closed. I went to one of the family fun centers in its last year. Only the go karts were open. There seemed to be lots of history that was just going to rot away. Very well made video
