Somebody explain to me how and why is Lui Kang basically Raiden and Raiden is Lui Kang in this game. I wish people would stop messing around with how things were when they were created, things were prefect so why screw with them.

@@cgxlv Exactly and they don't understand how many purists play these games and once you screw with what they know and love you just might lose paying customers over it. Everybody in the entertainment industry needs to learn to leave greatness alone, for 31 years the game had followed the same characters and even though they would bring on new ones here and there the original characters stayed the same.

I agree. I have been a fan since day 1. People imo are probably more angry about Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) becoming Scorpion but NRS shortchanged us with Raiden & Liu Kang also and a ton of other stuff that appeared in previous games when we were promissed original new content.

Raiden never wanted ANY of that to happen! Though Raiden had visions of the future, there was nothing about Kung Lao’s death, and he believed Kung Lao was destined to save the future instead of Liu Kang. After he lost everyone he cared about, Liu Kang blamed Raiden. He tried so hard to save the future, he never forsake anyone’s deaths! When he finally uncovered the secrets to Shao Kahn’s defeat by having him breach the rules of Mortal Kombat, it was too late to stop Liu Kang. He was beyond words, and Raiden accidentally took his friend’s life.

To be honest Liu Kang's death is his own fault because replaying mk9 when at the end of the game when Raiden finds out that Shao Kahn must win and when he tries to tell Liu Kang that Shao Kahn must win who came refuses to listen and Raiden says I will not let you fight him Liu Kang says then you are my enemy
