Got to see the Martha Ingram out of my hotel room in Baton Rouge back in 2023. They built a float of barges while i was in a business meeting. Lucky i chose a window seat and watched her most of the day. They had her ready and she took off north up the river. These tow boats are beasts. It's amazing what they push up the rivers.

Martha is one of the largest boats on the river and due to its size and HP stays on the lower Mississippi. I have seen her pushing as many at 64 barges on the lower Mississippi

Hines Furlong has some really nice late model boats. They have some really deep pockets also

those western river boats have a lot of character, I'm glad a company picked up on those boats and refurbish them, Even the steel that they're made out of is better than the steel that they have out today That's why they still together . every one of their boats are really cool

That used to be Southern Towing, STC outa Memphis. Southern Douvall now, not sure where the Douvall came from but they have deep pockets. I worked for STC in the 1980’s on anhydrous ammonia barges. Some deadly stuff
