I absolutely love your journals !! This one is amazing ! Love Halloween ! I can’t believe you start out with a few pages of fabric and it turns into this 😅 fabulous work! I want to try making one but seems hard but easy at the same time 😅 I don’t think I have enough stuff 😂

Thank you. I do on a couple of the ephemera eating journals. Literally, take 4 doubled pieces of fabric and cut holes where you want and then sew. I have several tip-ins though.

The instrument you were using is called a tracing wheel. It's used for marking darts in dress and blouse sewing patterns. That's what I was taught in high school sewing class back in the day.

Handy tips - if photographing my finished projects I find it helps to place a white or pale cloth (or white napkin )under and behind it so the background is not distracting. Once the pic is edited it makes the project easier to see properly. Thanks Joy.

Both! When I'm storing a supply of little things, my smalls for ephemera, I use recycled boxes the size of a Banker's Box, label it and put it in the garage. Things like a roll of tickets, or things that take up room in my craft room. Then I keep a few things in my craft room. I also use clear boxes mainly because I can glance around the room looking for something and not having to read labels.

I find that layering the flowers between sheets of kitchen roll then between sheets of scrap cardboard then putting a heavy book or weight on top of the pile works well and saves spoiling the book pages. The flowers can then be stored on a plastic pot with a dessicant sachet to keep them dry. Liquid varnish can also be used to stick and seal the flowers to pages. Thanks.
