I'd love to work for wdef radio. Luther was so nice everytime I'd meet him. Chattanooga misses him.the mornings just aren't the same.this generation just don't know what they're missing.

Bill Claiborne cost me my job in 1993 at wfli even though I had done nothing wrong to him. He was a truly horrible human being.

Richard Pryor proved that he was a genius at comedy many, many times. I am sorry we lost him so early in his life.

Jolly Cholly was a fun guy, I enjoyed working with him at WDEF. He could do an Irish accent better than anyone. It was such a sad day when he and another great announcer friend of mine, Lloyd Payne passed away. Both were too young to die. Both very talented. Many memories come back of my days at WDEF Radio, with Luther, Charlie, Buddy Houts, Happy, Earl and many others.

Only thing missing in the farting scene is a good "shart". Had to wait on William Seymour Hoffman for that.

The deleted scenes are on a DVD I have in my collection as well as some other stuff, which frankly is cringe-making. Blazing Saddles, however, is still one of my all-time favourite films.

OMFG that scene where they are all eating beans and farting in sequence is the funniest scene! It's so true too men are doing that all the time, str8 men doing it while none of the ladies are around, and we all sit around and laugh about it! Women will never understand that kind of comradery!

Pryor said in his book that it was HE who put the farting scene in it and many of the raunchier gags. He also said the script wasn’t funny when he got there. He made it funny. Unfortunately, Pryor wasn’t alive to defend or speak on his behalf so we’re goin by what Mel says. Mel ended up gettin all the credit when the film came out.
