It's called the guillotine. Like the Bolt Lock. You guys market old moves dating from the early 1900w as something new. Nice demonstration. Of one variant of the guillotine. Under the arm, wrap around. You'll probably need to roll to secure it. Can we stop pretending these are new techniques. I've a judo manual here. it's from the 60's. Guess what's in it.

The hamstring stretch as opposed to an actual kneebar. One of my favorite submissions.

This video is really old by now, but I still have a question about this technique. How do I prevent the bottom guy from getting is trapped hand into the triangle? This numbs te choke, because is hand (the chicken wing hand, so to speak) is defending his neck.
@SoulcraftBJJ6 жыл бұрын
Just sit on his chest and keep the lapel grip until you have the head control.

Soulcraft Jiu Jitsu Thanks for the quick reply! One more question real quick though... Are you guys aware of some sort of defense against this lapel trap for the guy on bottom?
@jimo5596 жыл бұрын
Very nice. Though you didn’t talk about it, I immediately saw that from the failed Achilles’ Lock you can pull the foot across for an Inside Heel Hook, a One-Handed Toe Hold break across your right thigh as well as a beautiful entry to Dope Mount. Thanks for helping me see this piece of the puzzle.

Your feet are pretty

1 minor flaw...who's gonna lay there with their hands clasped together and pretty much just LET YOU maneuver your foot into a choke position? Not gonna happen in the real world in a real street fight. ESPECIALLY when it's being applied by what looks to be an EIGHT YEAR OLD CHILD.
@a.s.vieira78466 жыл бұрын
What you did is just a variation of a very usual DLR sweep which is much more safer to do than this one.

Hi Brad - Thank you for the technique! I was wondering: If your opponent grabs your sleeve that punched to the mat, does the lasso stop you from proceeding with the technique?
@thelister49107 жыл бұрын
Great technique. The hardest part for any kind of armbar from guard for me is getting the arm across. Can you show a few set ups that work against very strong people? Is this the one you would recommend? Thank you.

I always get stuck in north south with this. How do you prevent this from happening?
@thomasallum18347 жыл бұрын
Advanced skepticism I used to get this all the time. My issue was I was trying to turn too early and trapping myself. Try focusing on getting out moving your body in a straight line and turning when out.
@shanehypno5396 жыл бұрын
I would say trap his right harm with your left arm, go over the top of right arm and to your chest, this will help keep him from moving north south for a sec while you spin into the darce with the 👻
@skmfkr23 жыл бұрын
@@shanehypno539 yeah in other videos i see them grab his tricep and hold them down. then switch to the other side of the neck for the darce choke
