I’ve had my 150 Chromaflow set since June 15th and I absolutely love it. So imagine how crushed I am to hear that you don’t plan on releasing those extra 50 colors as open stock! Many of my favorite colors are in that group. I don’t understand how you went through so much effort giving us a beautiful new set of pencils, meant to compete with Prismacolor, yet don’t understand the importance of having ALL pencils open stock. Artists who are loyal to a brand/set & use specific colors go through them quickly. But that doesn’t mean they can all afford to buy an entire set over & over for what might be a handful of colors. If you truly refuse to release those 50 colors open stock I hope you will at least consider releasing the 50 in their own set…preferably a tin. You have SO many loyal customers…who absolutely adore your pencils (myself included) but it truly feels like you aren’t listening to us. We can’t all be SM stars, nor should we have to be to be heard. You have SO MANY colored pencil lines that are LOVED, yet they are being reduced or discontinued. I understand that happens. But, for example, if you only sell your 120 set of Artists in a wood case….forgoing a tin, how can you not understand why sales aren’t as high as you’d need in order to continue producing them? I would LOVE the 120 Artists set….but at the cost of a boxed set it’s a luxury item I (along with many others) simply cannot afford. I know I’m reasoning to the wind. But, at least I tried.

How do you seal inktense products? I never have, but I'm giving someone a piece of work and would to protect it.

Scale dividers are slow /cumbersome and inefficient ---USE THE GRID BLOCK METHOD FOR ENLARGING FOTOS ----Many apps put accurate grids over your target foto )( ART TUTOR IS ONE OF MANY __on internet !

...aaaand 13 years later, my wife buys these blocks in a great sale deal and is very disappointed that these grippers were long ago discontinued!! She thought at least two grippers would come with the 72 full set, one for each tray perhaps? And she could buy extra. But unfortunately not. One remaining pack of three is for sale on eBay for £15, at the moment if anyone wants to pay double plus postage, she saw them once in Hobbycraft for £8, thinking they were hugely expensive for 3 tiny erasers as what they were wasn't on the packaging. Thankfully a bit of magic has been restored by winning a bid which included 3 grippers, 2 spritzers and the Grate and Shake container which under the flip off lid is a semi blunt triangular metal hole you can grate off shards from the blocks. You can either add water to the Grate&Shake container to fully dissolve the Intense or store them in it. You can mix several colours of shavings in the pot and make your own colour mix. You can put the gratings into a spritz bottle too and spray fully dissolved Intense onto your project. Of course you can just shave the blocks with a craft knife blade into any container, and maybe it didn't sell well for the price 13 years ago? But if you're interested in branded Derwent 'Inktense Accessories' these appear to be what were once available and worth keeping an eye out for on e-bay etc. Happy Arting, and Derwent, it's time you offered grippers again, for all those who have come to Intense in recent years since the rebranding of the cover art on the tins which give them a refreshed desirability. You could wrap some washing tape around the blocks, but it's a lot more convenient to have a lovely moulded bespoke gripper with the word Derwent moulded into it, enhancing the usage experience. Now we have heavy social media usage, you can do 'shorts' entitled "Get a Grip'! And test the market for bringing these grippers back. Personally, my wife says she'd like 12 so she can have one on the maximum amount of colours in the smallest set, to minimise swapping the grippers around a lot. 🖼🎨

They are different. Inktense is ink; these are actual watercolour. Just like Derwent already has both Watercolour and Inktense pencils.

Ooh I would love to try these out as I adore Derwent Inktense and watercolour pencils!! But I'm guessing it will be ages before I can find these in Portugal.... Times like these I wish I was still living in the UK!

I bought this product, Inktense block, and I hate it. Didnt like how it dry, the granulation when I use them like watercolor, the wash made with it is absolutly terrible. The pigment didnt dispersing well, the finition is ugly and like I see, its the same thing with your painter in this video. This product dont worth the Price. Water or alcool, nothing mix with it works well. Since, I lost the purchase proof, but If I had it, I go to a refund. Dont sell this product, don’t but it, that’s not worth the Price.

Bought a set of 24, opened them to swatch, & they ruined my swatch colour book, they were full of grim so I swatched them dry on my swatch squares & got the dirt with them, on wetting the colours were all grubby! So disappointing!

@@derwent They were purchased from Amazon as I don’t live in UK! We wrote a reclamation, sent them back & as I own Derwent Aquarell pencils( purchased from an art shop ), & like them, & recommend them always! Was excited to use Derwent blocks, so was extremely disappointed by there swatching! As, you may realise. Look forward to my next delivery & hope they will be clean enough to use! Thanks for your reply!

@@derwent They were re- delivered. They were not only dirty ( I cleaned them all, & the tray before using ), which again caused a mixture of colours again with swatching but, one was split. I have kept them, was very disappointed! And, won‘t recommend them for purchase. I‘ve purchased Derwent watercolour pencils, & use them & recommended them, I use & recommend Schmincke Aquarell paints, & Hahnemuehle Aquarell paper. Was hoping to purchase Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils, will leave that now & purchase CaranD’Ache. And, hoped to purchase the XL Inktense blocks but, won’t now to avoid disappointment! As a solution:? Is it possible that the plastic cover that seals the Inktense blocks attracts static dust( small colour molecules from blocks ) that settles in the trays & during storage/ delivery travels & settles on the blocks, could a thin paper coat prevent this? This problem must be solvable. Such a shame, especially if like me, the purchaser was waiting expectantly for them, then disappointed!

I made a color chart .after it was dry I took a damp brush and went across the lines and they lifted so I tried in on my pencils chart that I did almost a tear ago they also lifted so how are they permanent.

Hi @donnamcneil6748, it is essential that all the pigment has been diluted or else the wash will not be permanent. The important thing to remember is that it needs to be a light wash. Hope this helps. Best, Derwent
