HERE'S HOW YOU HAVE TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!! - I have fixed a few of these printers this year. The ribbon error is caused because the run-out sensor is too close to the edge of the ribbon material when you feed it through the machine. The ribbon needs the excess of the cardboard tube snipped off (use the small snips for 3D printers or "sprue cutter") on the side that is closest to the printer. Trim the cardboard tube flush to the ribbon material and load the ribbon all the way onto the spindle. Moving the ribbon ~3 or 4mm further onto the spindle covers that sensor and fixes the problem.

If this is NOT the solution to your problem... Your printer is out of calibration! The printer will calibrate if you keep pause in for 5 seconds! Please follow instructions on the screen or the calibration will go wrong and you will keep the ribbon out error!!,

This is not "FIXING" a ribbon out error... this is loading a ribbon when it runs out video. We buy these printers, 50%, brand new, out of box printers show this error. Load ribbon and media, get "Ribbon Out Error". How do we fix that?

If you need to move BarTender to a new computer, then you must deactivate the currently activated computer, and then you may activate BarTender on the new computer using the Product Key Code supplied with the software.
