very good video and very helpful. I have the same hydrant and it's getting "sticky" to where I discovered water oozing out of the top of it one day with ice building up. You present a very clear picture of how this hydrant works. The one question I have is when you pull the hydrant, is it necessary to pull directly up or can you twist it to work it up out? I'm assuming it won't come loose easily bc I already have a bacterial rust issue with my water.

I like the property that you have there sir! We use rear blades on our tractors for our driveways. If we are plowing gravel we turn the blade backwards so we don’t remove too much gravel, or if we plow the grass we do the same so we don’t tear the grass up. Great video tho!

I'm using several billboard tarps in various applications ....1) the BBT's come folded into small bundles and they tend to crack along the folds 2) they don't take wind flexing very well at all.... they crack a lot showing light through the cracks 3) I got to doubling them and that holds up better it seems ....4) a good thing is that with a special glue they can be mended with a patch or hemmed along an edge with a cheap yellow rope in the hem ( now out of the sun ) then a small split chain link can be poked in and around the rope and crimped to make tie downs ......

This video does a great job describing the issue with water temperature, but the rated wattage is not why one de-icer uses more than another. The rated wattage limits the size of the water tank it can de-ice, but does not tell us how much power it will actually take over time. As mentioned in the video, the thermostat shut-off temperature is the primary difference in power consumption as we want the water to be as cold as possible without actually freezing. Some products will heat the water to 45F or higher and that's simply too high; such heaters will consume a lot of electricity. Using an undersized heater does not solve the problem of a high shut-off temperature and can allow freezing even with the heater working. Regardless of size, it's important that the heater shuts off when the surface water temperature is just above freezing. A 1,500-watt de-icer with a 35F thermostat may use less energy than a 500-watt one with a 45F thermostat and the worst offenders will be units with broken thermostats that simply run all the time.

Appreciate the heads up. I posit billboard tarps do best when not flexing so much, as they last a long time on billboards themselves. I will still give them a shot on 2 of my cattle panel hoop sheds.

I have a used billboard vinyl tarp covering my wood going on strong after 2.5 years. I know there are many different weights of tarps. I think mine was the lighter 9oz but they also make 20 oz tarps that cost a lot more. Not sure why yours failed. I am in sunny California however so my tarps have never seen snow.

I DID IT! Turned off the water, undid the set screw, pulled the lever contraption off the pipe, pulled up the innards, cleaned up the white plastic doohickey, greased the O-rings, put the innards back in the big pipe, put the lever contraption back on, reset the set screw, turned the water back on and….. bammo, still dripping. But I adjusted the height of the collar/set screw and it stopped. Woohooo! Thanks for the vid.

Why do you need a prescription
@KettleHavenRanch
@KettleHavenRanch 6 ай бұрын
That's a heck of a question! It was approved by the FDA... I'm sure that's part of it. If you have a prescription, then you can apply for coverage with your health insurance. If you can't get coverage then writing it off as an itemized deduction is possible.

I broke my AFO, which I was going to do a comparison video. Unfortunately, I can’t get it fixed without a 6 hr round trip to be present for refitting. That won’t happen until winter. That being said…. I’ll shoot an almost one year review and walking comparison of the Cionic Neural Sleeve TODAY! It should be published by mid week.

How does your skin feel when you wear the sleeve? How far can you walk before you have to rest?
@KettleHavenRanch
@KettleHavenRanch 6 ай бұрын
I have never had a skin reaction to the sleeve. At first, I was not lining up the velcro correctly and that was chaffing. An extra 5 seconds donning it and that solved the problem. It hasn't extended my walking time much but my stride is much longer with less risk of tripping from foot drop. It isn't designed to or help with balance problems. Thank you for the questions! Take Care!

It's very simple. The most basic is just a couple tires with holes drilled through them and bolted loosely. Then some rope up to your tractor and your set! I'll put it on my list of videos to produce. Thanks for the comment. Take Care!

How much did it cost and does Medicare cover part of cost?
@KettleHavenRanch
@KettleHavenRanch 7 ай бұрын
Hi! I wish I directly knew the answers. This is from Google... Starting January 1, 2024, there is a $260 down payment which is non-refundable after the Neural Sleeve ships, followed by $260 per month for the first 12 months, which covers the Neural Sleeve, expert care from a Cionic Mobility Specialist, electrodes as needed, access to all new exercises and activities, and warranty .. As far as Medicare, I do not know BUT from their website ...Are We Covered By Insurance/Medicare/Medicaid? Unfortunately, FES devices for mobility, including the Neural Sleeve, are considered experimental by insurance companies and reimbursement is considered on a case-by-case basis. CIONIC recognizes how important this is and is committed to supporting reimbursement efforts. Individuals can submit documentation to their insurance company to request reimbursement, and CIONIC will support these efforts with a Letter of Medical Necessity that can be shared with your medical provider to complete and submit. The Neural Sleeve is eligible for payment under FSA/HSA/HRA preferred spending accounts. Thank you for your questions and watching the video! Stay Safe!

@KettleHavenRanch 7 ай бұрын
Hi Pat! Thanks for the question and very glad that you are a survivor! Start at their homepage, cionic.com . At the far right of their upper banner, you'll see "Start Here". Click on that to an assessment page where they ask a few health question to determine if it's appropriate for your conditions. Don't worry, it's anonymous. If you are a good fit and the Cionic Neural Sleeve may help your conditions, then they will refer you to your own doctor for a prescription. I am not paid by Cionic but I do get a credit on my monthly electrode purchases if you use the Cionic Discount Code. Receive a $50 Discount when you purchase and "on board" the Cionic Neural Sleeve. Use Cionic Discount Code: QNFG I copied the pricing below from an email. It is from January 1, 2024... "Starting January 1, 2024, here is our updated pricing: $260 Down Payment Covers initial shipment and setup of the Cionic Neural Sleeve by a Cionic Mobility Specialist $260 per month for first 12 months Covers the Neural Sleeve, expert care from a Cionic Mobility Specialist, electrode gel pads as needed, software updates, and warranty repairs. Local taxes may apply. $120 per month after month 12 Continues to cover expert care from a Cionic Mobility Specialist, replacement electrode gel pads as needed, software updates, and warranty repairs. Local taxes may apply." (AS THIS REPLY WILL BE TIMELESS, BE AWARE THE PRICE MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE!... Steve)(So please don't quote this price in 2025 or beyond!)
