5Th generation Petaluma native, I’m in a small town in Oregon now because it reminds me of the Petaluma I grew up in in the 1980’s. It’s still a nice town, a little to politically progressive for my taste, but it’s not the Petaluma I grew up in.

Word is out on the housing. A 1700 sq ft single level house with a 3 car garage was listed at 875 and sold for 910. Yes, we have 3 car garages!

Uhhhh, I work in Petaluma and I’ve seen probably 50 dogs in 2.5 years. And I rarely ever see a dog on a daily basis. And as your video progresses my take on your perspective has soured. Cow smells? Yes, if you are a couple miles west of Kentucky Street. Listen, I’m 57 and lived in Chicago for 55 of those years. I’m not 100% happy with California in general, but Petaluma is a wonderful place…and I live in Sebastopol which is hippy town (so I know kitschy). Do you have a top 10 of [why] you should own in Petaluma?

I grew up in Rohnert Park and graduated from Rancho Cotati High. Back then Rohnert Park and Cotati were just country town's surrounded by fields full of Jack Rabbits and creeks everywhere. I've lived up here in northern Oregon now for about 30 years and the last time I was down there for a visit I was blown away by how much the area has grown which I can't honestly say I like very much, but I'm happy to see that indeed a lot of what makes Sonoma County a magic place has been thankfully preserved. Good video 🌄

I really like your videos....I don't have much money but I would love to try and buy 1/4 acre that I can put a tiny home on...I saw there are a few of them in Sebastopol . Does Rohnert Park have any that you know of ?

Wow, I lived in Petaluma back then in those golden days meaning back in the 80sh when Peg King just worked and stared out her business being a agent. Her Husband Cliff King had just a small office n the north BLDV him being an Farmers insurance agent and I could go on and on. I worked at the Creamery there for 20 + years started back then in 1982 making 10.25 and hour and houses on the west side was around 50-75 K dollars in sales prices wow. I have lived also in Sonoma very close to that famous ok whatever you should call it that Finnish American club FAHA. Have even lived in Santa Rosa for many years worked for that famous bus company Golden Gate Transit LOL etc etc so anyway Anita, you did not talk about that if someone from the city would move to Petaluma that hey, beside that they would drive there own car to commute they shoud, use and take the Golden Gate Transit busses that's there for the commuter's as you know. Very easy and no stress. Ok, I could go on with a lot of things here but the good old days for sure is gone and over and that goes everywhere around the world. Many, people sadly move even away from CA when they retire to other states or Mexico or the Asian country's because it's just to expensive to live in CA after you retire on a small fixed SSA retirement income. OK, life goes on and it will always change. Good luck to you Anita, you sure looks like you are a sweet women with a lot of Love and care. If you have a partner in your life wow, he or she is very lucky to have you being in their lifes. Ok, enough from me but looking and hearing you talk about Petaluma wow, a lot of memories entered my mind. No longer my old friend Mr. Al Stack and Stanley Anderson who was a big builder in Petaluma back then and yes, I did work for him also but they are now all dead. Bless their family's and our beloved Petaluma and thank you Petaluma for my time..............................I had a good life for my over 20 years living there.

This is the most opinionated bullshit review I've seen. You literally highlight the reasons most people decide to move here as "the worst things about it." My favorite part is you talking about the nightlife as though you've ever even been out to experience it. That cow smell you mention is called the Sonoma Aroma. If you don't like it, by all means, go back to your smog filled LA skies.
