Hey thanks for your review. I have one with 4-notebooks as well. I’m a sales engineer and I divide the notebooks as one for projects, one for meetings both company and customer, one for learning and product knowledge and the last as a scratch pad - scratch pad is useful for when you’re on the phone, at a customers, or if a coworker comes to your cube with something out of left field 😂. -- please upload a follow up!

Pardon the extremely belted response, but I do! And I desperately need to film an update!

You’re welcome! I’ve been meaning to do more videos for ages, but between work and everything else, it’s just hard to find the time.

Thanks for this video. What inserts do you recommend for this Field Journal besides the Rhodia and the Lochby inserts?

Really just about any softcover A5 notebook would work well. The Clairefontaine clothbound and neo deco notebooks would probably be my next pick. And Goulet Pens does their own Tomoe River notebook that I'm sure would be lovely. Depending on how many notebooks you want, you could even use a hardcover or two. My Leuchttrum1917 fits nicely, for instance. The possibilities are pretty much endless, which is one of the things I love about the Lochby!

How have the strings holding those Rhodia books heild up? I have heard the staples damage them.

I haven't had any issue with them at all so far. I've only been using this system for a few weeks, though. I'll keep that issue in mind for a later update! That being said, I think the bands would be pretty easy to replace if you did have an issue with them. But so far, they seem like they're going to hold up just fine!

Appreciate the video. Recently recieved my Lochby. Haven't had a need to use it just yet. Would greatly appreciate a follow up video as time goes on. Also would like to ask if you have any suggestions regarding pens or channels or resources that I could decide on what to get. I'm an architecture student in my fourth year. My mind is relatively distracted in basically all directions in terms of art, design, and building. So any help to limit my scope on where to find basic info on pens would be interesting to learn for me. 😬😁 I get to go to Japan as a study abroad program and will use my Lochby to hopefully capture Japan on paper. I want to create the best experience I can when I go. So.... with this nice journal.... I hope to have a great time drawing (which I rarely do)

Thank you so much for commenting! I'm glad you found the video helpful. I definitely intend to do a follow-up in the near future! As far as pen suggestions, I highly recommend Goulet Pens - both the shop and their channel here on KZbin. They have tons of very helpful videos. I hope you have a great time in Japan! And do let me know if there's anything else I can help with!
