Why didn’t you play a longer time control instead of losing constantly on time?

1300 pushed a GM to a draw. Impressive recovery, I wonder if the guy even realizes who he played.

So the strategy is: mindlessly trade down into an endgame, then play the endgame at a GM level and win. Got it.

Good game. I saw Be2, but don't think I could have finished that to a draw like he did. Not sure I would have found the idea of brining the bishop to the back rank. I'm about 2k rated

I understand that after Bxc4 at 7:30 you didn't go Qg3 for the sake of the speedrun but its still so irritating cause I know you saw it 😂
@RG0011002 күн бұрын
It's interesting. He's certainly not finding all the "GM moves", so an 1100 should be able to play to a similar level. But he's still able to increase elo by 100 within 2 hours.
@Ninterd22 күн бұрын
@RG001100 That is probably because while there are habits moves, there are so many possibilities. He's not playing tactics every move, and it's those moves that aren't tactics that will be harder for lower rated players to choose between. He also sees every tactic which isn't necessarily easy for low rated players. So him being a GM certainly helps. He also remembers every tactic he's seen. Which is necessary to improve, but difficult to start doing.

a bunch of d4 games.. pretty uninteresting except danya one
@RG0011009 күн бұрын
Generally: The piece in front doesn't move in a pin. The piece behind doesn't move in a skewer. With a bishop targeting two rooks on a diagonal, either rook can move.. so the distinction between pin/skewer isn't meaningful.

NGL, I wonder how painful it must be to PURPOSEFULLY stalemate just as 'educational' content when you're a GM and all your instincts are screaming at you NOT to put the Goddamned queen in H8

A couple days ago my Romanian supermodel virgin girlfriend & I had the pleasure of meeting some young lads from Canada at a local wine tasting. After many a glass I went to use the washroom & drain the ol' garden hose as the kids say. To my horror upon returning I was greeted by the taller one wrapping his long lanky arms firmly around my lovely ladies waist. In a sudden trance of shock I felt as though I couldn't move & the whole room slowed down while all I could do was listen to repulsive comments he swooned shallowly into my innocent sweethearts ear. Some far too graphic for YT's community guidelines but "What's your favorite opening position?" & "Don't worry we can make it rapid or take it slow brah" are some notable quoteables from this vulgar rapscallion's repertoire. Such disgusting words left my stomach uneasy & not wanting to ruin the event for any other bystanders I excused myself politely from the evening. When my faithful & innocent buttercup returned home at 7 am the next morning I was informed the two Chessbrahs had brought her to their den of degeneracy to "give her a lesson on the proper times to push on both sides of a position for maximum value". Of course I trust my soon to be forever partner but something inside of me says that an impromptu chess tutorial wasn't the sole intentions of such despicable ruffians. Please reach out if anyone else has experienced any similar shennigans & do NOT support these guys.

@RG00110015 күн бұрын
Good player masking as a low elo player is "smurfing". (Sandbagging is losing elo deliberately in order to win some competition). The other 'speedruns' they've done, players play to the best of their ability. In Aman's habits, he plays to the level of the ruleset, which is why he loses/draws games.
@mattg826216 күн бұрын
Wow! at ~8minutes, Aman put on a master class, of how to motivate, coach, and correct all at the same time. He was kind, considerate, and clear with his guidance. A different person might have gone ape on "Mr. Bus" but Aman was patient and understanding. If you get nothing else out of this video, this is how you deal with people, without ego, without condescension, but with maturity. This is peak Aman.
