I have a '24. I've gotten 14 many times, usually 12-13 going 65-74. That said, this thing will do 80+mph easily and get 11 all day! If I hit cruise control at 79 MPH and there's not wind, I can maintain 12 mpg. Wind is the killer, 9-10 with headwinds. All that said, it's still about double my V10 Ford!

How are these for grabbing and spitting rocks? Anyone?
@AdventuringToday12 күн бұрын
@@bulkleyoutdoors These tires did what I wanted. If a rock got in a groove it was typically ejected on its own. My continental terrain contacts would grab them and not let go. Every time I filled up on those tires I used a mini screwdriver to walk around the truck and manually eject rocks. Coopers rarely held on to them.

Great comments. Just got a new 2024 F150 with these tires and not sure how' they'll hold up here in Michigan were we have a lot of dirt roads - which turn to mud - and snow/ice. I've had Wrangler All-Terrains in the last F150 and they were great. Should I sell these AT2's and get Wranglers for $950 installed? I put these on my 2020 RAV4 Hybrid AWS XLT. They are VERY quiet. I have only had them for a few days, but from driving in town to a 30 mile each way trip on the interstate, I think they are great. They are replacing the OEM tires at 48,000 miles. They are 225/65 R 17 size. Heck, they are even advertised by Continental as having “Low Road Noise”. If I were you, I would talk to the Continental rep and get to the bottom of your issue. It may be true that your use on a huge Expedition may not be right for you. I note when Continental compared these tire to their LX20s as you did, they were using 235/60 R18 sized tires to demonstrate improved wet braking. It doesn’t say what they compared these to for noise. But I can say that on my application, they are really great!

Great video but what is the roi with the cost of the intake and the savings in fuel
@AdventuringTodayАй бұрын
It's gonna be a while to recoup the cost...that is for sure. I think in the video I say the expected cost savings is between 1/2 penny and 3/4 penny per mile. If that is the case (and there are a ton of variables that go into that calculation) then this intake would pay for itself in about 50-60,000 miles. I will say this...I get my oil analyzed at each change and the S&B filter is doing an amazing job of helping keep the oil clean of silicon which is what Blackstone uses to measure for not effective air filters or leaks in the intake system. S&B makes a great product.

If you don't like the tires doesn't Continental offer you a 45 or 60 day replacement? However if you replace them I believe Continental says you have to replace them with the same brand or BF Goodrich. You can't just replace them with any choice brand you want. I would have at least replace them again with mew LX 25s just to see if you had a bad set.

Looking at them for a Tundra. I know it's been 4 years. Three questions. 1. Did you buy them again? 2. Also, I rarely tow, so how did they handle when not towing (except for those squirrelly first thousand miles) ? 3. They E load rated which I probably don't need, so instead of the max 80psi, what do you run then empty? 45psi? Thanks!
@AdventuringToday3 ай бұрын
Yes I would 100% buy them again especially on a heavy duty truck F250/2500 or above. They are a highway biased All terrain tire so they really do well on the highway. I would not let the squirrelly part of my comments alter your decision if you are not towing. I never experienced that when I was not towing. Any my trailer was heavy for my F250. I was probably a bit over payload when we were towing. I ran 60/65 when not towing. I did just buy some Toyo Open country AT3's for my F150 Tremor. This truck came with General Grabber ATX tires with a load rating of 116. The new Toyo's are E rated with a load rating of 125...probably the same as the Coopers load rating on the AT3 XLT's you are looking at. I do experience maybe a 3% harsher ride...I am probably over sensitive to it and most passengers would never know. I am running that 80 max PSI tire at 50 pounds and it seems to love that pressure. I would try the same with the coopers you are looking at. Hope that helps!
