It’s definitely one of the things I notice in my travels is all the trash. It’s so unfortunate. You would think that in tourist areas especially they would do better job of cleaning it up.

It appears they are ignorant buddy. No garbage bins to be seen let alone recycle bins, Sad state of affairs especially compared to how well we are educated in the west in comparison. This is a world wide problem so well done for putting it out there. Who knows, the success you had at that fishing village in Malaysia could become an issue elsewhere but we won't hold our breath. Regarding the abandonment, amazing potential all gone to waste. Wondering if Covid destroyed what may have been a popular tourist town pre pandemic and it has never recovered.
