In response to the news of Cimino’s death, Jeff Bridges (who plays a character loosely based on one of his relatives, John Bridges) wrote on Facebook that Heaven’s Gate was a “movie about a particularly fascinating time in American History when Cattle Barons, sanctioned by the United States government, waged war on emigrants-the Johnson County Wars. … The many months of shooting in Montana were a one of a kind movie making experience. When Heaven’s Gate came out, many critics called it a flop, a disaster. Well…that’s just their opinion, man. To me, and many others, it’s a masterpiece, and grows in beauty each time it’s seen.”

I found this song on my Spotify discover weekly too like 5 years ago. I've loved it ever since, I love to hear it on a female voice, it definitely gives it other dimension for me, it's beautiful, thank you. Sorry for my grammar, English is not my first language.

satire of the highest order. marry me

For me me this stuff started satirically but became my lifeline.. solemnly sincere in that sense. Not sure what the ratio is any more but singing this shit soothes my wired and tired nervous system in some way. I just released these two tracks as singles on Spotify as part of a new video album strangely.. Maybe that's what brought you here. Your channel looks interesting anyway will check it out - thanks for engaging

@@geraldinesnell the power of well-constructed rituals performed by solemn sincere figureheads is fascinating and terrifying and your nailing it. Especially enjoy the use of technology via camera and mic strapped to your head, reminds of the best Tim&Eric zone theory stuff. good stuff Geraldine Snell™ We will be watching you

I love John Hurt, but it was criminal how they just sidelined this character after the first few scenes. For the rest of the film, he's just in the background spouting single lines of poetry with no bearing on the story.
@davidlisowski52454 жыл бұрын
Apparently he spent so much time waiting between scenes that he made The Elephaht Man in his spare time.
@janickgoudeau61263 жыл бұрын
@@davidlisowski5245 Another interesting bit of fact.. Hurt also was able to help paint Michael's new edition on the Hollywood home and get his riding mower up and working.

I agree, after the graduation there was no point to him whatsoever, i guess he was there as a contrast to Kristofferson’s character but it wasn’t developed enough and if that’s what they wanted then having Sam Waterston’s character as the university best friend who took a different path would have been more effective
