Omg I love this deck! Is it possible to get the deck list? I've been trying to forge a somewhat playable (MOSTLY pure) toon deck against Yubels and other wonky decks 😭 Funny vid!

I have been using my own Ancient Gear deck in the Duelist Cup. I either crush my opponent or get crushed. The biggest problem were Yubei decks. They're the worst match up for Ancient Gear decks.

The first hand is mid, the best you could do probably is anguish and escape, or could be better if you bring another lv 6 unchained and abyss actor to went rank 6 xyz and still do full combo

I just made a Qadar Time Thief Deck in Master Duel that semi-Mills the opponent (Redoer & Quartet) and can burn for 3-4K on the opponent's STANDBY PHASE ( with a side of Volcanic Scattershot for flavor) Wonder Xyz FTW! XD Update: with a Cursed Bill and 2 Standby Phases of setup, I dealt 9K+! Unaffected unless you negate the Summon! 0_0

Pretty sure you could've gone full combo as early as turn 2 if you discarded then special summoned spirit of yubel using the spirit gates spell card

This was full combo when you drew the Spirit. Not a mid hand at all.

Except he still had to top deck Spirit. The hand itself was very mid. Just because he had the Heart of the Cards on his side doesn't change that fact.

Tips: Grave Squirmer's quick effect can also be used during the Battle Phase. If you intend to damage your opponent, having 2 Yubel monsters on the field and an opponent's monster with an ATK of 2700 or higher is enough. First, have both Yubel monsters attack. After they are done, Special Summon Grave Squirmer and use its effect to destroy either Yubel then Special Summon a Yubel monster to attack.

i never really understood yubel is the point of the deck only to swing hopping they have boss monsters and the burn effect kills them? or is there more to it

@TaigaGalette if you go first, you wait to swallow their board or stall with yubel spirit. Or you set up yubel to prevent battle. You also have a choice of neos kluger, which is also a yubel monster. If they are not letting their boss monster out because they don't want to battle yubel, you can use other stuff in the archetype or play around poly/fiend supports

Been really enjoying Red Dragon Archfiend. Had a game yesterday where the enemy nibed me but I was still able to end with a Hot Red Abyss because I had the level 1 in hand and Scarred WAS on field as the 5th summon. There was also a game where I had a hand I thought was a brick but turned it into the basic board by sending Vision Resonator to grave through Bone Archfiend.
