Can this mdds 30 smart drive controller be used with other types of smart drive controllers in an RC receiver? So what about the battery power input circuit? I mean, can the battery power input circuit be combined or does it have to be separated separately for each smart drive controller? 🙏🏽

Nice project! I am planning on using the same controller on a small ride-on tank that I am building for my son (3 year old). Will be about 50kg. I want it to be controlled by RC transmitter but would also like the option to allow my son to drive it himself with a joystick on the tank. I don't know much about these controllers but do you think there is anyway to have both options available and switch quickly between RC and Joystick control? Thanks

That's going to be awesome. Lucky kid! I am pretty poor in the electronics department. I am not sure if a playstation type controller outputs a PWM signal but I have seen people use them for CNC controllers so maybe...

I think there is a demo using a joystick control (similar to a playstation) on Cytrons website for this motor controller. Not sure if both inputs can be used at the same time though.

Hey Peter, the u-joints are half inch impact swivels. The drive shaft is 4140 hex stock in a hex sleeve for the telescoping portion. The spindles are cut from the import donor quad and differential is custom made. There are some pictures here; photos.app.goo.gl/opAxd1YrdQHJ7kY58

I just DONT GET why it doesn't completely sand it down to a smooth circle, like lathing something wooden would. (is this question already an idiotic place to begin?) Does it have to do with the turn speed of the gear you're making? (nope not that) The distance of the teeth on the tap? The speed of the spin on the tap? I feel literally dumb, but shouldn't the closest tooth of the tap completely shear off the face of the gear, and not create divots? Obviously not, but what the FUCK I literally think about this question daily

Hey I just made a remix of this drum but I doubled the drum and scaled it to fit .45 bullets and added a cutoff slot where you can fit mostly any Glock or pistol mags on top. Just trying to find the spring used in the middle of the drum. I wanna release the files on odysee cuz KZbin would probably take them down 👇 The lever design is genius

Hey, glad you could use it. thanks. I used a piece of .025" shim stock, Starrett. 1/2" wide, comes on a roll. You could also look for a drill press return spring, I think they are on amzon and such. Cheers! Send me a link when you have it done. I'd like to make another for GSG .22.
