I was there! Great show! Shortly thereafter he cancelled the rest of the tour because of his heart attack! In my opinion, he's never really been the same since . . . .

Wow man. It's 2023 and John Mellencamp did an interview where he spoke of his spinal bifica surgery when he was only 6 weeks old. Several children all got that surgery and the rest died except for one girl who was paralyzed from the neck down. John recalled seeing her at basketball games and that she died at 13 years old. The surgery John spoke of as having his head cut off. Now I understand this song title.
