The biggest takeaway for me from this is, how on earth could I ever trust ANY doctor who would prescribe for me ANYTHING that could give me dementia?! God, how heartless is THAT?!

Your channels is one of my weeks highlights, I enjoy them so much. In response to your friend, I can only relate to the pain of it being similar to my daughter’s choice to disassociate herself with me. It’s out of my control, Ive done my best to be a supportive yet not enabling mom and yet her choice is to not allow me into her life. She has her reasons as he does, maybe a topic for your annual walk(?) though uncomfortable as it may be one can respond by saying they don't feel like or aren’t ready to share that right now. In my case, it’s healthier to view it as mourning rather than be hopeful every day that this may be the day I hear from my darlin’ girl and be sad when I don’t. Hope this provided a bit of helpful insight for you- Love you, Dr. Amy!

These are great questions to get to know someone you already have a relationship with. I would be taken aback if someone I didn’t know asked me these things. It seems very personal and intrusive. That could be just my introspective opinion. I was hoping this was a video on making friends. I still give you a thumbs up!

You're right @lauriechannell6044, just jumping right into these questions would be odd! There's definitely a method to getting into the conversation. I hope we can keep exploring that together as I share more on making friends. I'll be doing the third set of questions next week, and then I'll back up and talk more generally on making friends, so I'll be excited to see you there!

Gabapentin gave my husband a real mind screwing. Brain fog, forgetfulness, scattered thoughts, all within 2 weeks of starting the med....I made him stop taking it...he was back to himself within a week. He never even realized what it had done to him until he was off of it. Then when my niece, who is a nurse heard about my husbands ordeal, she told me to throw that crap out, it is no good and dont ever let him take it again. Enough said!

Don't take any pills then you know if anything wrong is your fault for not taking care of your own body. You only have one you should look after it and it will look after you. I made an error going to see a Dr 6 months back because I thought I'd cracked a rib. The Dr gave me a load of bull that I would be on pain killers for thee rest of my life. 6 per day. I went too the chemist and he told me what had been prescribed, so knowing they gave me a belly ache I changed them. The 1200+ I should have taken by now is down to 50, big difference show what crap I was told by a qualified quack. I wouldn't trust 90% of them , unless they have there laptop in front of them they ain't a clue. I know more and I only read a few of my ex wife's medical books as was a nurse. Good food and good exercise beats any Dr.

Hello there, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing ever in your life. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life.He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. See John 1:12 for this please. Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?

@@thisbeautifulbrain Thank you. Yes. I'm now having other issues because of it. Stomach issues as well BP all over the place but hasn't gone below 164 then skyrocketed to 200. I have no chest pains or anything but my Dr may want to put me in hospital for them to try and get it down. I have to call him today. I'm thinking this may be hereditary . My father had numerous BP issues for about 20 yrs before he died at 90 . They never could figure out issue. My Dr knows this. I went to a foot Dr last WK for a cyst on my foot. She refused to see me because my BP was 184/117 ☹️.

While visiting my mom, I realized she was really losing her memory. I discovered she was taking Lorazepam. I researched it and it angered me mom was even on it. I went with her to her primary care doctor and on mom's page in the doctor's laptop, Lorazepam was right there on her list of pills. She had been taking it for 9 years! And she didn't suffer from anxiety. I asked him why she was taking it and the doctor said to get her over the death her husband. "That was 9 years ago!!!!", I adamantly said! I felt like I had to inform the "doctor" what I found out researching Lorazepam and it's correlation to dementia/Alzheimer's... He said that wasn't true but I made him take her off Lorazepam start medication for dementia. Then I took her to a neurologist who put her on correct doses for dementia medication which only slows the progression of dementia. Mom's older brother had an amazing memory and so did her younger sister. Lorazepam is horrible and has many side effects and terrible withdrawal symptoms for many people. Thank you for bringing it up to warn people that it DOES BRING ON DEMENTIA!!!!!!!

Hi, my doctor prescribes statins rosuvastatin (Crestor) for cholesterol control. After a year I developed what could be similar to Alzheimer's symptoms.I had difficulty remembering things ( 15 minutes of memory ).I had been tested with the Montreal test and they said that I could have the beginning of Alzheimer's. Well after that I went to the internet google and KZbin and from there some KZbin doctors told in a video that statins were affecting cholesterol and that the brain made up 50% of it. Guest what I stopped taking those statins and 2 weeks after I didn't have any symptoms. A real miracle, I could have continue taking that medicine and have bad symptoms for the reste of my life. KZbin hadn't made me realize what could have been the source of my problem. No thanks to my doctor and his staff. I could be a lot less healthy today. LESSON : STATINE ARE NOT WITHOUT RISK!

I really like this channel and the advice - I don't see enough people paying attention to drug interactions - let alone making it easy for anyone to check their own meds by offering a link to the way to do it. It is important to find a doctor or medical provider you can trust, there are trustworthy doctors and helpers that are exceptional at what they do. They listen, they care - just pay attention to how they treat you. We do what is important to us, so if you're valuable to them, they will treat you that way. Be responsible with your own meds/body, or have someone trusted help you.
