I have heard this from so many artists. I am hoping to do a 6x8 painting a day for the next year. I am a pastelist. I am hoping this will greatly improve my work. Thanks Kelli.

I've definitely thought I'm way too slow and need to relax and have more fun with my painting. I've been trying too hard to get the colours and values right and have stopped seeing the subject for what it is and using common sense/trusting myself. I will take your wise words onboard Kelli, thank you.

I find it easier to realize the apple's shape by blocking in the ellipses (at the top of the middle apple and bottom of the right apple). The top line of the apples would be uneven, therefore more dynamic.

I've watched so many demonstrations and instructors. I keep coming back to yours: you teach so logically, gracefully, and effectively. Seeing progress for a change. You're a fabulous painter -- a natural -- and great teacher.

Kelly: I see that you have a neat and beautiful appearance. I would like you to tell us about our image and appearance. Should we take care of our physical image when we appear on our social networks? Does that matter? Thank you so much Kelli

Kelli I'm interested in the part that we should not just post but ask questions. How do we know who our potential client is? I'm just starting to try to start selling my paintings. Thank you very much Kelly for helping us artists.

I always buy some vases and things at the flea market to use them as a model for a still life, but I have redrawn them all several times, and finding and setting up a still life is such a long and tedious task. It is not difficult and quick to paint, but to set it up, compose it and make it beautiful is the hardest part

Excellent - thank you. I definitely identify as a 'procrastinator.' Yet, I've never thought about all the 'head trash' that goes on in my mind. Thank you - will take time to work on that aspect.

I remember loving to draw in grade school. In high school art wasn't available until my senior year. I don't know if art is available in schools these days, I'm now 69 years and trying to make up for lost time. If possible I'd like to create an opportunity for a young student that wasn't available to me when I most needed it.

not a questions about lighting. i was looking at some still life by the impressionists. I was wondering what distance you would recommend to be able to see the still life. particularly for a 9 x 12 canvas. lets say from straight on view
